How much has this tour got to do with sacking?

Sky Sports News reporting it played a part

Just imagine the MOF setting off on his giant marketing exercise in the Far East trying to sell tickets to see

the club at the bottom of the English Championship with a manager who everyone knows is for the sack very soon

the club at the bottom of the English Championship with no manager at all

the club at the bottom of the English Championship but with a world famous manager promising to turn the corner (but with too little time for anyone to say he might not)

who knows maybe the deal hinges on the tour and if the tour is a farce the whole master plangoes up in flames like a pile of duty free ciggies in a petrol bomb

just a thought like

Heard it was Jack hobbs

He was the only player left out the dressing room, so could be true.

Heroic, if so. lol

I heard that, Sousa went up to Fryatt and said "I bet you're glad I'm going" and then Gallagher stood up and said "Yeah, we all fucking are"

Amazing if true.

I think the timing is more down to our next match being up against Pearsons Hull City.

The fans would've been calling for Sousas head whilst chanting Pearsons name leaving Mandy and the board looking like dicks for getting rid of him. With Sven being brought in it will change the atmosphere and give us something to be positive about.

The quick turnover of Sven being linked with the job only minutes after the announcement of Sousa getting the sack, further backs my point as it's obviously been in the backburner for sometime now and Mandy and co were plotting for the perfect time to put it into effect i.e. against Hull.

Interesting. Seems like the players had even more bearing on the eventual sacking than the fans.

They were all probably gutted about NP leaving, makes you wonder if they gave Sousa a chance. Not that i'm blaming them, if PS was a good manager he would have got them onside.

Fryatt comes across as a very quiet lad and the only reason I can think of Sousa's dislike for him is that his ego couldn't accept the fact that Fryatt was a bigger name round these parts than his own.

Gallagher. lol

- maybe bigger isn't the right word, couldn't think of another.

In the first few matches Sousa was in charge he rarely spoke to the players and they didn't know what to think. One of them said atmosphere was terrible and if this carried on past the friendlies then I am not surprised some players disliked him.
