broughtonblue Posted 17 October 2010 Posted 17 October 2010 don't say that! he's a good guy!! Yeah he was, one of the better ones. Taught in my pod area (can't remember what the pods were called) other teachers in the area were (I think) martin price, judy cook, felicity Kendall. Think your dad taught maths but as I said earlier it was a lifetime ago. What's he doing now?
sdb Posted 17 October 2010 Posted 17 October 2010 he did humanities but maybe maths too, he has done since. yeah he's ok ta for asking - headteacher now. don't recognise the other names though. he talks fondly of that school & how it was quite different to other schools at the time (& now).

Humanities, you are right, with my age it's probably dimentia setting in! My name is (ask him) but not sure I made that big an impression at school as I was a good kid! The school was brill if you were a pupil as there was a coffee bar where you could smoke if you wanted too(even if you were 14!) called the teachers by their first names, bob, flick, judy Etc... And if you didn't want to do a lesson (maths, English, etc) you were forced to go and play football or go to the coffee bar and play pool! Bloody hell, wish they were strickter looking back at it.
sdb Posted 17 October 2010 Posted 17 October 2010 haha, yep sounds quality! I will pass on your name mate definitely when i next see him. he loved that school. i noticed no-one else on here mentioned Countesthorpe, is it still going?
