The Doctor Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 Merrydale Juniors - 1997 - 2001 Judgemeadow Community College - 2001 - 2006 Loughborough College - 2006 - 2008 Nottingham Trent Uni - 2008 - 2011 (maybe?) why are their entry requirements so low compared to a lot of other universities? I've looked for biochemistry at bath, warwick, leicester and leeds - all want ABB, Keele want 300 points, Nottingham trent want 260 points including a C at biology.
Dr The Singh Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 why are their entry requirements so low compared to a lot of other universities? I've looked for biochemistry at bath, warwick, leicester and leeds - all want ABB, Keele want 300 points, Nottingham trent want 260 points including a C at biology. it's a former polytechnic, which tend to have lower standards then 'older proper' uni's?? Plus popularity, maybe those other uni's are more popular for that course?

I've looked for biochemistry at bath, warwick, leicester and leeds - all want ABB, Keele want 300 points, Nottingham trent want 260 points including a C at biology. Because it's a fvcking shit university, that's why. Nah in all honesty I have no idea, when I started they were asking for 280 points to do law, and after my 1st year they raised it to I think 320 points. I don't think I even know on what campus they teach biochemistry here, let alone anybody doing it. If I had to guess, I'd probably say that their entry requirements change year on year to match demand and / or success of their students. I would also go on to say that I visited law schools asking for higher entry requirements than the law school here, yet they had a worse post-grad employment percentage and a higher rate of failure.

(all in Lincolnshire) Ancaster CofE Primary 96 - 02 St Georges Academy 03-08 Lincoln College 09-11 I thought that, but discovered Ricey went to the same school as me. Alexikokopops Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 That's the one I've probably mentioned it before, but I went to Carre's. Did you ever get taught by Mark Wallington?
