Philbert Fox Posted 9 November 2010 Posted 9 November 2010 On Saturday 26th March 2011, England will be playing away to Wales, the match is in four months time and it still hasn't been confirmed by the Welsh FA which stadium the games going to take place in, does anybody know when the decision is going to be made?

Finnegan Posted 9 November 2010 Posted 9 November 2010 Book your hotel. If they move it it will be the Cardiff City Stadium. Parc y Scarlets is too small and Liberty's too far away.
Ashley Posted 9 November 2010 Posted 9 November 2010 At the moment the games at Cardiff City Stadium however there was something the other day on the BBC saying the Welsh FA are considering moving it to the millennium stadium(which it will be), England will receive around 8,000 tickets if so.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 9 November 2010 Posted 9 November 2010 It's being played at Porthmadog's stadium. As part of my A-Level Grpahics coursework I picked them purely at random to act as my clients for a stadium re development. They actually got back to me and gave me feedback. Love them.
Sparky Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 I'd be very suprised if this is not played at The Millennium
Finnegan Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 Aye. It won't sell out but I reckon 45k is realistic. Maybe 50 if England fans find it easy to get home tickets.

Are you really not expecting it to sell out Finners? I'm sure it did in 2003 at the Millennium if memory serves. Without wanting to sound disrespectful, it's probably the closest Wales are likely to come to a cup final with the amount of rivalry surrounding the game, Welsh players in Joe Ledley and Gareth Bale doing well and England looking anything but great.
Finnegan Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 Had this discusion before and can't be arsed again. In short, last time we played England the following were true that aren't now: Interest in the team was high, we played okay football, we believed we could win, prices were cheaper, we had more debenture holders, we had higher general attendances, we had just almost qualified for Euro 2004. If it sells out it'll be because we rammed down the price and a LOT of English went on the quiet in the home end as a chance to see their side.

In all fairness, I don't know how much longer attendances at Wembley are going to hold out for similar reasons to your lot so I can hardly blame you. I have to say that my interest in international football is somewhat waning since Sven left England. All those who said we'd underachieved during his tenure must feel a bit silly, I'd know cos I was one of them at the time.
Finnegan Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 England will always fill Wembley. We are a small country in recession who are shit at football and whose average crowd is less than a third now as it was then. Given current economic climate, if we can't fill the stadium for rygbi vs the Wallabies then we have no hope in the footy. England Wales in a full Cardiff ground would be great atmosphere though.
Edmund Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 Can we just rename this thread to 'Finnegan's cock is planted so far up Gareth Bale's arse Vs England', it's inevitable were this thread's leading.
Sparky Posted 11 November 2010 Posted 11 November 2010 Been confirmed on SSN that its at the Millennium
Ashley Posted 11 November 2010 Posted 11 November 2010 Been confirmed on SSN that its at the Millennium Good news, we'll receive around 8,000+ tickets now where as if it'd been at CCS we'd have got the away end that Leicester had for the play-offs? Anyone getting the train for Cardiff for the game? Probably the safest way in and out on that day.
C-man Posted 12 November 2010 Posted 12 November 2010 Might travel to this. Got a few mates at Cardiff Uni so there's potential for a nawtee weekend.
Philbert Fox Posted 15 November 2010 Author Posted 15 November 2010 I'm wanna go badly, anyone know when exactly tickets are going to be on sale.
