davieG Posted 28 November 2010 Posted 28 November 2010 I've got some golf clubs I no longer need they are oldish but still usable for a beginner who wants to see if they want to develop an interest. All right-handed 8 Irons including 4 to 10 and a Sand Iron all Dunlop MaxiFly 3 (newish) & 5 (old) Woods. No putter Drop me a PM if you want them.
skinnydipper Posted 30 November 2010 Posted 30 November 2010 As this is about to slip off the 1st page I feel compelled to reply. No thanks as I've got my own but unbelievable that you can't give them away. At the very least I'd have thought Harborough Fox would have had them to tool up with the BS for the away fixture at Forest

davieG Posted 30 November 2010 Author Posted 30 November 2010 Do you still dabble or does this giveaway mark the end of an era? Dabble's a good word. I'm actually left handed but can play right handed. When the kids were younger I got the right handed set so we could all share as I couldn't afford two sets. When I play now, which is not often and not well I play left handed. As it happens I'm about as good either left or right handed. Someone's just pm'd me with an interest.

Had thought about organising an FT golf day but there doesn't seem enough interest on here PM me if you want a dabble when it's a bit warmer. I play at The Leicestershire which is a nice track And I was going to ask for a 10% share of the profits, having resurrected this thread, but then I remembered that you're giving them away for nothing
Unit Posted 30 November 2010 Posted 30 November 2010 If the PM'ed person doesn't want them in the end I'll gladly take them off your hands, been wanting to start playing for a while now but never convinced myself I'll be good enough to actually go and buy a set of clubs so this would be ideal.
Tommy G Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 I think an FT golf day would be a great idea in the spring
Daggers Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 My set have sat unused for the best part of six years - and it's probably best that is the way it remains. This was never my sport. Enjoyed it though.

Tommy G Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 doesn't matter if your good. I think the social aspect of golf is more fun that playing for a footie team. A good 4 ball going on with beers afterwards is incredible in the summer
davieG Posted 1 December 2010 Author Posted 1 December 2010 Are they still available?? The poster who asked for them hasn't replied to my reply yet, I shall give them until the end of the week.
Tommy G Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 Is it a coincidence there is a golf ad at the bottom of this page....?
Unit Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 Is it a coincidence there is a golf ad at the bottom of this page....? Nope, these things scan pages for keywords and stick adverts on that match them. In the EDL thread I remember seeing one for a muslim dating service which I thought was a bit ironic.
