sphericalfox Posted 30 November 2010 Posted 30 November 2010 I'm new to FoxesTalk, so I'll probably breaking all the unspoken and actual rules. But I guess there's no way of being subtle. I am getting sick of BBC 606, and the persistent mods on there, I have been on there from the very start, and spent many work hours winding up the competition and basically farting about. But for whatever reason I never ventured over to Foxestalk. Those who bother reading 606, I'll be 'mightypabs_lcfc'. Those who don't, won't give a shit. That's fine too Well, I am going to try to post an article or two on here when given the opportunity, but I run my own blog too, which takes up a bit of my free time. Anyway without sounding like a spamming turd, there's a few articles that be of interest to my fellow foxes. Have a read etc. Leave a comment, and join the ol' Facebook page, so I won't have to spam FoxesTalk with shite posts like this one. I haven't got my head around the editor functions on this forum and what not yet, so sorry for it looking dull! I'm all for feedback too. So don't be shy. I can see there are a few on here who are no shrinking violets! Bloggins innit!

accessory Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 The 606 site has been going downhill since 2003. The Leicester forum on there was essential viewing, but many of the main posters from that time moved onto other sites, including here. What took you so long to join us? Liked the blog, though...
sphericalfox Posted 1 December 2010 Author Posted 1 December 2010 Cheers Accessory, There's a few reasons why. 606 does have all fans in one place so you can have interaction across boards, be it for winding them up or actually having an intelligent conversation or insight. I don't think I'm going to give it up fully, but it hasn't been the same without the the old crew on there, though a few standout exceptions still make it worth a potter or article or two. I am keen on getting involved with FoxesTalk and to share the old bloggins too. Work commitments are a bit steep at the minute, but I'll be doin my best. Keep reading, and join the Facesnook page with a 'I like' and then I won't have to badger people with spam, cos I don't want to be a pest. I'm getting some good reading figures from Foxes and other fans so it's starting to gather legs. Feedback is welcome.

Nice summary about Mandacious.
Finnegan Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 Keep reading, and join the Facesnook page with a 'I like' and then I won't have to badger people with spam, cos I don't want to be a pest. I'm getting some good reading figures from Foxes and other fans so it's starting to gather legs.Feedback is welcome. Good. Some feedback: Blogging is fine, some people will read it, some people won't. Spamming the place asking for people to "Like" you on another site probably won't see you keeping posting rights on here very long. Just chill out, join in and, er, welcome? Glad we could save you from the 606.
sphericalfox Posted 2 December 2010 Author Posted 2 December 2010 Thanks for your thoughts Finnegan. The whole purpose is to avoid spamming if at all possible, hence the motion to the BookFace page. I'll take all feedback on board, but I'm old hat at forums, not this one, so no need to patronise, if you don't mind. I'll spend a bit of time reading and getting used to what's appropriate and what not over the next week or two. BTW, I will still use 606, but not as I have done, so no need for saving I guess it came to a head when I did a post-modern deconstruction of the 606 forum: Forum deconstruction exercise
Houdini Logic Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 Nice summary about Mandacious. If Daggers likes your work, then I wouldn't expect to make many friends on here...
sphericalfox Posted 2 December 2010 Author Posted 2 December 2010 If Daggers likes your work, then I wouldn't expect to make many friends on here... Well I've seen that Daggers holds strong views, and certainly about Milan, but as you'll know if you read that Milan article on the ol bloggins, that it was a fair description of his tenure without falling on any particular extremist side. Near 2,000 Wednesday fans have read that article, and are grateful for the info.
Finnegan Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 Near 2'000 Japanese have seen Lavrentis' Statue of Liberyuki, and were completely confused.
sphericalfox Posted 4 December 2010 Author Posted 4 December 2010 I take it Finnegan you like the abstract responses?
