BoneDog Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 The average Radio Leicester phone in caller: He's gonna be in trouble, he forgot to take his bowling shoes off.
The Doctor Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 deary me. Seasons nowhere near over. 7 points off the P/O's with 26 games to go. With the amount of chances we're creating all we need is a striker who can tuck them away. Fryatt isn't the answer because he can't play lone striker like howard/bednar or winger/striker like gallagher/vasell meaning we'd have to revert to a 4-4-2 to fit him in and so drop one of king (our only real source of goals), abe (one of our best players in recent weeks imo) or wellens (also one of our best players in recent weeks imo). Frankly I'd rather have the midfield trio of king-abe-wellens than a sulking fryatt.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 It wouldn't be over if we didnt sell DJ Campbell.
Adster Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 It wouldn't be over if we didnt sell DJ Campbell. i thought this. reckon if we can get in a decent striker in in the January window then i'll be pleased. and of course perm signing of Davies and Naughton
The Doctor Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 It wouldn't be over if we didnt sell DJ Campbell. yes, as it turns out loaning him out works quite well, but selling him? definate no-no.
CKB Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 I heard that tool, well actually i listened to him blab on for about 2 mins before i told the missus turn the radio off as i'm getting angry 26 games to go yet and that idiot says that? oh dear, oh dear!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 Just had Sportstime from RL on the I-player, cant believe what that guy was on about. Can understand his frustration, but we're not in February or March, we still have over half the season left to play. I think if the season started at Xmas and finished at the usual time, we would make the play offs, hopefully we arent to far behind to achieve this properly.

Guessing the caller wasn't at the game, hasn't attended a game all season, and has the benefit of having Alan Young and Ian Stringer in his greenhouse, telling him about the game whilst he's planting his Geraniums week in week out? Pessimistic Idiots like this need banning from the stadium
NorthernFox Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 I'm still very optimistic. Sven is the way forward. Lets have some postive thinking. We WILL make the play offs.
Tewy5 Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 If we put a few wins 2gether we can b in the mix its a tight league svens doing ok it will take time
Swalker Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 I only listen to radio Leicester for the interviews now. The callers typically are like you guys are describing people who get too down when we lose and too high when we win. I'd prefer them to interview the city fans who are on the foxes travel or something like that
Rich_Sheffield Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 The Season is over? Is this a real thread? ......Im of to get some fried chicken (nice input Rich_Sheffield) The Season is over? Is this a real thread? ......Im of to get some fried chicken (nice input Rich_Sheffield) knobhead.
smokey Posted 6 December 2010 Posted 6 December 2010 This season is far from over, 1 or 2 quality signings in Jan with one being a goalscorer and who knows, remember where Sunderland were when Keane took over that year. Everyone is on par this season, it just needs a bit of luck and a bit more quality and we could still win this League let alone get play offs, then again we could be up and down and finish mid table, thats how this League is. The Striker signing in Jan needs to be spot on though!!!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 6 December 2010 Posted 6 December 2010 Just been doing some research to prove our season is far from over.... In 2003/04, after 20 games, Palace had 21 points and were 12 points off the PO's. They picked up 52 points in the next 26 games and finished 6th and went up. We have 25 points, and just 7 off 6th place with 26 games to go. If they did it, then so can we. I'd fancy us to go the rest of the season only losing one at home at the most, just the away form which needs to be sorted.
