Katy Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 are they going to tell the housmates about the bombings because they may have family friends caught up.?? 133955 According to Dermot on BBLB they arent going to say anything, im not sure I agree with this though.

People like Maxwell would no doubt have family and friends who work in the centre of London. Maybe if it becomes apparent that a family member has been caught up in it they would reconsider, I would hope so anyway.

They sign a contract thing when they go in to agree to have no contact with the outside world or know whats going on, I cant see them doing that unless a family member has died, as stupid as it is.

Muz Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 I dont think they are telling them because if they did panic would break out in the house meaning a number of housemates who's friends and family work in London would want to leave the house. Im sure they will tell them soon. I would think if any of the housemates friends or family were involved in todays incidents they would tell the house.

EmLeee Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 it would be totally wrong if they didnt tell them 133984 we should start some form of petition (sp?) but i don't think they'll tell them - even though the really should *edit* it's wrong thet they're possibly the only 10 people in the counrty who don't know

Ricey Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 I don't think they should tell them, the housemates friends and family will know if anyone a housemate knows has been caught up in the bombs and I'm sure they would tell Channel 4. If that was the case that housemate should be told privatley. It is very very shocking news but what good would be achieved in telling housemates who it doesn't effect?

Matt Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 I would want to be told but I wouldn't be in the house i'd go straight away, IF BB did tell them what could the housemates do? Nothing, maybe they should be told but on the otherhand should they really?!? I can see it from both points of view...I sure I remember a few years ago something happened, not as major and not as shocking as this but something big did happen and BB told the housemates, i'm not sure if that really did happen but i'm sure I remember something similar to that

Theres no point telling everyone and causing mass panic, their minds are all at the point of paranoia (if they arent already) as it is without making them worse.

They all got evacuated from the area if i remember. I think they won't tell them incase they all leave and they have no show. Yes tell them if someone they know has been hurt, otherwise no. Loads of things have happened that people didn't know about and this probably shouldn't be different.

rossporterlc Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 i don't think they should be told unless a family member has been involved, if it relates to any of their family members then they should be told as i am sure they would be,
shack Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 BBLB said last night that they had contacted all the housemates families and found that no-one had been involved in the bombings and that C4 had decided that because of this, they wouldn't tell them. Agree with an earlier post - they're about the only 10 people in the world not to know!
