gibwarrior1988 Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 Davies and Hobbs were just well, meh. Don't recall anything of note. Were you asleep during the game? Hobbs was man of the match and absolutely solid. Don't post if you don't have a clue.
ithuriel Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 Gally played quite well yesterday, a lot of our attacks coming off him which is why at times he had two players after him and he ended up limping around for a while in the second half? after another crunching tackle. Davies on the other hand looks positively disinterested now and is making to many mistakes. Was not very impressed with Kirkland to be honest, no better than Weale from what i have seen thus far and Howard was just what the Leeds defence wanted and comfortably handled.
themotivator Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 Bednar 5 (Someone said on the radio that he won more than Howard in the air but I didn't see him win hardly anything. Should definitely have won a penal;ty though - the referee simply copped out - and he make his presence felt in the danger zone which is more than Howard managed.) does this mean you saw him win a lot? sorry
okie fox Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 6 is average in my ratings. Kirkland -5- Didn't inspire a lot of confidence. Naughton -6- Wear the right boots for the conditions! Davies -5- Too casual, not dominant in the air, too slow in closing down Snodgrass for Leeds second. Hobbs -8- Our best defender. Won his headers, solid tackling, covered well. Cunningham -7- Great run in the first half, some sloppy passes in the second half. Abe -6- Has played a lot better. King -7- Would have been 6 except for his great goal. Wellens -7- Worked hard and tried to get the team going. Vassell -7- Ran hard, but did not get much help. Earned penalty (even if he wasn't going to catch up with the ball, a foul is a foul as long as ball is still in play). Howard -5- Contributed little. Past his 'use by' date. Gallagher -6- Thought he ran and challenged harder than usual, but the things he tried did not succeed. SUBS: Bednar -6- An improvement on Howard. We should have had a penalty when he was pulled back and thrown down. Dyer -7- Team played a lot better after he came on.
ScouseFox Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 Kirkland 6 - no improvement on Weale Naughton 5.5 - would've been higher had he worn the right boots. Hobbs 7.5 - rescued Davies throughout Davies 5 - beaten time and again in the air and on the deck Cunningham 6 - better going forward, alright defending Abe 6 Wellens 6 - wasteful, but gave it 100% King 7.5 - calm throughout, rarely loses possession, wonder strike to equalise Gallagher 2.5 - useless, scored a penalty gets him above 1, him playing before Dyer remains a joke Howard 5 - their centre halves were solid Vassell 7 - pain for their defence all day Dyer 6 Bednar 6
