SOCCERROO FOX Posted 4 January 2011 Posted 4 January 2011 I would have 3 spinners in my team Tuffnel, croft and Monty and 2 pacemen Gladsone Small and Allan Mullaly

reynard Posted 4 January 2011 Posted 4 January 2011 Guess I go back a bit further than some of you guys but I reckon this lot would give most teams a run for their money. G. Boycott G Gooch D Gower T. Graveney K Pietersen I Botham A Knott wkt R Illingworth Cpt J Snow D Underwood R Willis Illingworth was captain in 70/71 when we won the ashes in Australia 2-0 in a 7 test series and we won the final test in Sydney in a pretty close match I seem to recall to clinch a series win.
BoneDog Posted 4 January 2011 Posted 4 January 2011 I would have that wicket keeper with the big tash in for sure. Can't remember his name but he was a regular when I was a kid.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 4 January 2011 Posted 4 January 2011 I would have that wicket keeper with the big tash in for sure. Can't remember his name but he was a regular when I was a kid. Probably an Aussie called Rod Marsh in the 80's
Fosse Boy Posted 4 January 2011 Posted 4 January 2011 I would have that wicket keeper with the big tash in for sure. Can't remember his name but he was a regular when I was a kid. Jack Russell?
BoneDog Posted 4 January 2011 Posted 4 January 2011 Jack Russell that's him. I used to think I was him at school when we played cricket. He retired alot later than I thought if wiki is correct (1998). Just googled Rod Marsh and I recognize the face. I just about remember him retiring I think.

No Ashley Giles?
Fosse Boy Posted 5 January 2011 Posted 5 January 2011 No Ashley Giles? Like I said, I was searching for a spin option. Harsh on the King of Spain I know, did fantastically with both bat and ball in the '05 Ashes.
