sdb Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 The 'do as Alex Ferguson asks' rule can get quite tiresome!
Jordan Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 the no shirts off rule is everything that is wrong with "modern football" as it were, or more specifically in this country as I don't know, and I actually doubt whether this is the same on the continent. Watch some older football and you'll never see players ripping off their shirts when they score. Anyway, when the game is on, players ought to show more respect for their shirts, the badge on their chests and the clubs that these symbols represent.
DB11 Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 I don't understand why they can't do the time like rugby. Stop the clock when there's a stoppage. Resume it when play continues. That way, when it reaches 45/90 minutes, you know there's no fucking around with added time or time-wasting. I referee Futsal where the clock is stopped every time the ball is out of play. A 20 minute half is played for about 35-40 minutes on a good day. They have to wait until the ball's in play. Never understand it myself. No we don't. We are the sole timekeeper and we blow full time when we want The fact that it seems the assistants are not allowed to touch the ball, even if a corner is given and the ball is rolling in their direction they'll just let the ball go past them. Pathetic. This is because say I stop the ball and a player picks it up, takes a quick throw and scores it looks like I've favoured that team. What if later on in the game I try to stop the ball but it's a bad touch and it goes past me, and it so happens to be for the opposition team, it'll look even worse as I'll have helped one team but not the other!
Kent Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 Only read a couple of previous posts, I'm assuming the auto-yellow for taking a shirt off in celebration has been mentioned. Anyway, I'm gonna go with that.
Bugg Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 The fact that no one can challenge the 'keeper. It always bugs me that if someone beats the goalkeeper in an aerial challenge, the outfield player is always the one penalised.
cambridgefox Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 How many times do you see a player rolling around, and when his team attacks, jumps straight up.this makes me mad! They should not be allowed to take part in the next phase, as the defending team are hardly going to keep a player next to him while he recovers. Thus bringing the defending teams formation out of shape when the player decides to join in.
FoxyPV Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 The offside rule pisses me off. Do away with it completely.
Dickie Greenleaf Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Anyway, when the game is on, players ought to show more respect for their shirts, the badge on their chests and the clubs that these symbols represent.
FoxyPV Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 Not being able to field a weakened team rotate your squad unless you're considered one of the top 6 teams.
