Well i'm not one to start pointless threads.......well not in the LCFC part any way :D

Living so far away from Leicester and England in general, It could be quite easy to not follow the mighty foxes as closely as i do. With no media attention outside of the top 8 clubs in the EPL over here it could be quiet easy to jump on the band wagon of one of the "Big" clubs. Up to 8 EPL games are shown on TV here each weekend that would be the easy option but the last 3 seasons the only game i look forward to, is Cities less glamourus games against the like of you Prestons, S****hrope, Briston City on a dodgy stream.

The last 3 seasons i've looked forward to being able to tune in online and listen to matches and don't mind sleeping patterns being disrupted. I don't mind making up excuses as to why i'm late for work because i can't leave my computer til i know the result of our midweek match. I don't mind any of this because i know that there is a good chance even if we play poorly for 89 minutes we may still get a result

Supporting city will always be a frustrating love affair much like a rollercoaster but these last 3 seasons League 1 promotion and playoffs under Nige. This season with Sir Sven who has managed some of the biggest clubs in Europe and is reconisble all over the world is actually at our club. What a season this has been last and probably one of the favourites for relegation after the first 9 matches and now playoffs look like extremly likely.

The point i'm trying to make is that since we got relegated on that fateful day life supporting city is no longer a chore or hard work, we are no longer easy beats and the players 9/10 times put in good performances it is actually fun and exciting to support LCFC and lets hope it continues for a long time. :scarf:

I totally agree with you, for the past 2 years ive lived in sydney and it is a pain getting up at stupied times to listen or watch games, but im going back to the UK shortly and will be going to as many home and away games as possible untill the end of the season as ill be back out to oz at the end of the UK summer with any luck!

Looking forward to seeing the Yak run riot in the playoffs :D

Completely agree socceroo!!!

I have been following city from not such an awkward time zone in Barbados for pretty much my lifetime, but what a roller coaster it has been! Just this evening driving home to see 1-1 on my cell after picking my gf to hope waghorn scores a goal in the dying minutes, which he does! Near drove off the road as I was ecstatic!

Exciting times indeed and I for one have booked my tickets to come up for the games in March as automatic promotion doesn't seem the fairy tale it once was!

Just got in from a night out. Still absolutely buzzing!

We were about to leave to go to my mates birthday, keeping track of the game on the BBC stats page (urgh) clinging on to feint hope for 30 minutes after they equalised, hoping that this week wouldn't end up in an inevitable anticlimax, a draw, what the hell else would we Leicester fans expect?

With minutes to go 'til stoppage time I desperately claimed "Surely we're due a last minute winner, can't remember the last one!".......Nothing. 90 minutes ticks by on the live commentary. "It's now or never for Waggy" I dismissively groped at....Nothing. Just about giving up, me and my mate were getting ready to get the fvck out of there when we see the 'Loading' on the live commentary, "GOAL Martyn Waghorn".......90mins+2"......FVCKING YES......Could not believe it COULD. NOT. BELIEVE. IT. This feels like the Cardiff comeback all over again, we're going to make the play-offs, surely?!, we went absolutely mad and had a cracker of a night, wish I was there.

Hope you guys and gals had a fooking great night :scarf: OH WHEN THE BLUES!

Gotta say when I first started supporting Leicester I was proud, then we had year after year of shit but the last 3 years it really has been a pleasure and you could be proud of your team again, and I can only hope things will get better under Sven and the new owners.

I must say though the years of shit do make the good times even better though. Sounds silly but give me a mix of both than winning every week.

Hi all and thanks Haydos... had a brilliant time! :scarf:

It was great to see the ground so full and the atmosphere was good for most of the match. I didn't hear the 'Weale' chants. The 'Waghorn' chants, on the other hand, were amazing - the ground and Martyn went bonkers!!!

We could see what it meant to him and he could hear what it meant to us :scarf::chant::trumpet:

Nice to have a bit of luck on our side tonight and I'm proud of the lads, even if it wasn't the sort of performance we have seen from them recently.

Well done to all you supporters who have to follow from afar... it's great to know that there are Leicester fans all over the world :scarf:

Waggy's back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbup::bounce:

I'm a musician working in London & that usually means weekends so I dont get to that many games. Last night on stage with my iPhone in my jacket pocket & my teenage city supporting son txt updating me was amazing. I nearly jumped off stage when Waggers scored our winner. It's great seeing how we foxes manage our passion throughout adversity.

As some one who has followed city for many many years from afar, i can only compliment those who are far away from leicester for your dedication.

In the pre and early internet days it was a case of waiting till the next day to hear the bbc world service scores..and maybe a week later when you got a copy of the papers and read the reports. The internet is just a brilliant thing to enable, seeing, listening (and with places like foxestalk, thanks mark et al) interacting with Leicester city FC.

2010 - 2011... to the expat (and nearby) Fox, possibly the best year in recent memory?

Perfect example had a cracking night I'm at my mates place and she has fallen asleep and instead of following suit I'm following the other championship games via this forum on my phone.

You're right, it is exciting. Especially jumping around whooping and screaming at four in the morning. Bet the neighbours love it too.

Out of interest how does an Aussie end up supporting Leicester? Not the most fashionable choice (until recently anyway). Both my parents are from Loughborough so that's my excuse.

And how are you gonna cope without Muscat???

When my brother is home he knows when Leicester have done well, much to his disgust.

I actually hated football until i moved to High School and some of my new mates all played so i started playing and my Grandfarther gave me a city shirt from the early 90's so started to support City as he was originally from Leicester and came over here in the 60's. One of his proudest moments is when i told him i was flying to the UK just to see city play!

Muscats legs are gone his still got the mind but his too slow, so i'm not too disapointed he still has the Asian Champions league games tho.

 fab time to be supporting the Foxes again at the mo, fair point made earlier that sometimes you have to go through the shite seasons to appreciate the good times even more

Sydney-Melbourne matches won't be the same without Muscat. Always adds a little extra spice when he's playing.

You're not one of those Melbourne "hooligans" are you? just reading about it in the paper. :D

I live in Ireland and see all of the games availables on the tv in digital and terestrial, i think thats how its spelt???

I watch games at livefootballstream as well.

My era was keith weller , Frank Worthington ,Jon Sammells, Lenny glover etc.

I was playing for Coventry and warwickshire boys and supported Leicester .. Played on most of the midlands grounds as a youth and have to say the baseball ground was the worst.

Leicester for the last while seem to always take their foot off the gas in the second half unless they are behind,They are more dangerous when they are trailing though., Grind a result out with any luck as well, Yes the less glam games are good to watch.

Derby V leicester was a typical game .We ran the sheep ragged through the 1st half, then eased off and let them into the game , Having said that we were always confident at the back...The new keeper?? has not done owt for me yet .

The last two and a half years have been enjoyable, with the exception of the first six weeks of this season.

At home we've made the place something of a fortress, and we've looked more capable of winning matches away.

It's nice to be looking at the top of the table after five years of starting at the bottom.
