topharry123 Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Looking at the fixtures this weekend, we arguably have the easiest game out of the top 8 on paper. The others are as follows: Swansea v Leeds Barnsley v Norwich Hull v Cardiff Leicester v Coventry Middlesbrough v QPR Millwall v Nott'm Forest We've been on a great run before knocked back down to reality by a decent Cardiff side, but have tough games coming up. So I was wondering how many people think that this could be the game that makes or breaks our season? Although we will still have 12 games remaining, our next 3 games are very tough. QPR, Norwich and Scunthorpe away. If we lose more ground this weekend, we'll be at least 3 points back from the closest best case scenario with probably our hardest run of the season coming up. My view is that to make sure we stay with the pack this weekend is a must win fixture and that we cannot afford to drop a point in this game. Also going into the QPR game, I think it's imperative that we are not going into it with 2 losses in a row knowing that a third could see off almost any hope remaining. Any thoughts? Maybe it's just me, but after the Cardiff game I really see this game now as a pivotal point in our season, win and the door is still widely open for the play offs and an outside shot at the top 2, a loss and the door is shutting an inch further every game that someone above us takes points.
Simmo86 Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Think its more how we get on over the next 3 games which will shape how we do but 3 points tomorrow is a must!
cc_star Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Every game is make or break until we get in the play-offs with a 4 point comfort-zone, which may not happen at all

reacher Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 its a must ours boys respond to the defeat in the week. In this league, anything can happen. 1 game at a time and fingers crossed we make it back to the big time
Zingari Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Every game is make or break until we get in the play-offs with a 4 point comfort-zone, which may not happen at all was going to say pretty much the same
ajthefox Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Every game is big but none yet are make or break. Surely by definition, a game that is make or break will either make the season or break the season. We can't make our season unless getting in the play-offs goes down to the wire and although not beating cov would be a big set back, it doesn't meant play-offs aren't possible, it just makes it a fair bit harder. Tomorrow could be the end of a 2 game blip, we could win our next 6 again after. I suspect a bad result/performance tomorrow could have a disastrous effect, but thats's all if's and but's. As has already been said, anything is possible.
The Doctor Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 scunthorpe away shouldn't be a very tough game, their home form this season has been atrocious. I can see where you are coming from but, paticularly after the start to the season we made, every game in the run-in is make or break to a certain extent.
