The Year Of The Fox Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 The welsh fa yesterday cancelled 1000 england fans tickets that had already been sold by our fa to england members. There was an initial allocation of just over 7k. Then a few days after another 1k came up for sale and were sold on the same day. Members who bought a ticket on that 2nd sale have had their tickets recalled by the welsh for, as yet, reasons unknown. Disgusting really. It hasnt been a good year for england fans, after our fa last year confirmed a friendly away to thailand this june. Fans booked flights etc and after the world cup voting scandle in december the fa have since cancelled the game!

I'm sure those fans will have a terrible time in Thailand now that won't see England play...
The Year Of The Fox Posted 3 March 2011 Author Posted 3 March 2011 Besides the point. Ever booked a hotel for a city game then had it moved?
Dickie Greenleaf Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 I think what he's probably getting at is that watching England is more painful than watching paint dry and that those poor individuals who were going to have to combine it with a trip to Wales may just have swerved a bullet, so to speak.

They've had to recall 600 wales fans tickets as well!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 3 March 2011 Author Posted 3 March 2011 Didnt know about 600 in their end. Presumably they dont exist because the police want those seats to be the segregation area? Yeh its painful watching them! The game usually spoils a brilliant day on the lash
samjohnson Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 I'm sure those fans will have a terrible time in Thailand now that won't see England play... The thai's have already played the best team in England, why would they be moaning
The Doctor Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 i pity both of you. edit: didn't like the look of the orignal statement, so changed the organisation/grammar.
Mack Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 Its sold out actually mack Is it at the Millennium? They could'nt 1/4 fill that before and moved out to Swansea. Just shows what a spot of England bashing does for ticket sales!
Hullfox Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 Its sold out actually mack It actually isn't. All of the tickets have been distributed by the FAW but many of the tickets are still available through welsh football clubs. Fortunately I still have my ticket but some of the guys who have lost theirs through no fault of their own are understandably gutted. They have travel and accommodation booked on the promise of a ticket that has now been taken away. How the fook the Welsh FA can mess such a thing up is beyond me.
Fosse Boy Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 So there'll be loads of English wandering the streets and pubs of Cardiff on the day instead then? Bet South Wales Police are overjoyed at that news.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 3 March 2011 Author Posted 3 March 2011 Why anyone would pity someone watching their country play football is beyond me! England do play more often than one month every two years you know. The best trips abroad are when england are playing, tho as said before, the game usually ruins the holiday! It is shocking what the FAW have done. To be fair its not our FAs fault for once Why anyone would pity someone watching their country play football is beyond me! The Year Of The Fox Posted 3 March 2011 Author Posted 3 March 2011 England wales, international derby, european qualifier... My point was, I bet you cheer em on at the world cup n euros, but these are the games we have to win in order to get there!
Leicester Rule! Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 Really looking forward to this plus a night out in Cardiff.
Fosse Boy Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 While my interest in the national team has been minimal for the past few years I actually would have quite liked to experience this. Guess I just love seeing local derbies on any stage.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 4 March 2011 Author Posted 4 March 2011 I really would recommend anyone to go on an england away trip. (Im not trying to sound patronising!) If you like leicester away days then youl love england away Find out when the next away game is and just book for 2 nights, usually the night before the game and night of the game. Plenty of tickets always knocking around by fans who have bought a ticket but then just get too drunk to bother! If not buy one in the home end!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 4 March 2011 Author Posted 4 March 2011 Leicester rule- We had hotels booked for friday and saturday night, but the lads who went to the last one told us not to bother. It was that bad apparentley. Personally I wish we were staying in them still. Seems like there are a few england fans stopping the night so im sure it'll be ok
