I think Waghorn deserves a start. He can't be any more ineffectual than Vassell at the moment.

I was impressed with the QPR highlights, going forward we looked dangerous and created chances, on another day could have been 2-0 up before Miller's goal. Defensively a bit ropey again but more solid than recently. Ricardo also made some crucial saves.

It's hard to understand from highlights what to do about the formation but it seemed to work. Hardly any of their play on the highlights came through the midfield but I don't know how wise it would be to try this at home against Norwich. Waggy needs to be burying those chances and after making them I think he should come in with a bit of confidence and enthusiasm for Vassell.

I think I'd stick with the 4-3-3 but have the options on the bench to change to 2 up front.

Agreed, recorded the game and have seen in twice, think we played very well. My only complaint is Oakley.

In Oakley and Abe we have two mid-fielders who offer nothing going forward. I mean Oakleys skewed volley in the first half was horrible! Play the same formation and try Gallagher in there! Should never be playing Oakley ahead of Moussa who was loaned out IMO

Was it a diamond persé? I've heard some people mention a 4-1-3-2 :S

If it is that then obviously Abe playing in front of the back 4. Wellens also need to sit a little deeper in that formation giving King license off the ball when we gain possession. This relies on Gally having a similar role as he has at the moment IMO, apart from this system would have him already more central without cutting in. It does mean he has to work hard on his positioning though, while he's out wide in a 4-3-3 he becomes an outlet and can then work his stuff. In this tighter formation he wouldn't be sitting as far forward when we weren't in possession so would need to find space on the break.

I think Oakley can do a job but as you say, nothing going forward and to me he's no more than a squad player.

Don't mean to sound bleak about our chances but we are usually not so good midweek, also, I think the weekend game might have took a lot out of the players.

I reckon it will be a dull game, perhaps 1-1.

On a positive note, we're going up....

For those saying we're bad during mid-week, I'm presuming you're going on performance, cos results say otherwise.

Out of the 11 League games we've played midweek so far, this season, we've won 6, lost 4 and drawn 1. Therefore taking 19 out of a possible 33 points in mid-week matches. I wouldn't say that's too bad.

Right now all that matters is 3 points, regardless of performance. Obviously I want us to play well, but as we've seen before a good performance doesn't always warrant 3 points. I know we have to be on top of our game against a Norwich side who have only lost 3 away from home, but there's no guarantee that they will put in a quality performance either.

3 points is a must, and if the 3 points can be gained through a great performance, then so be it, but I wouldn't be so worried if the 3 points were lucky through a shit performance.

dont know much about them- who is the player we have to worry ourselves to distraction about?

I hope delia doesnt catch Sven's eye!

Grant Holt? Henri Lansbury? Wes Hoolahan?

Crofts had a good game against Barnsley, too apparently on top of the 2 sweet goals he scored.

RobTannerMerc: Leicester city squad unchanged for tomorrow night's huge Championship clash with Norwich.

Whether this means starting XI or squad in general im not sure.

Not really changing things is it? And if you didn't notice he changed things against QPR.
