Obviously a MASSIVE game, where all 3 points would be huge in getting back on track. A win would leave us 5 points behind them.

I'd start with our 4-3-3 formation; think Abe, King and Wellens work well together, and imo, Wellens and King play much better in this system. Mee deserves to keep his place at LB, so our defence should stay the same.

I'd love Waghorn to start, but really don't think he'd suit the wing. I don't think Vassell should start, he can get past a man at times, but holds on to the ball for a second too long disrupting our attacks.

A variety of 4-4-2, with Yakubu and Waghorn as the front two sounds tempting though and wouldn't mind giving it a try. Waghorn would make up for Yak's lazyness.

Norwich are unbeaten in 5 games, so won't be a pushover, but I think we can beat them if we play well, and finish our chances.

Prediction: Leicester City 2-1 Norwich City (King, Gallagher)

Yakubu had a decent game against qpr but waggy seems alot more lively, weale is just a safer bet in goal, back 4 had good game should stay the same.

First post on this forum that I've seen that says drop yakubo, I agree totally. Ok, 4 from 9 games but how many chances has he missed. At least 3 against cov, didn't go today but listening to rl, he missed a few again today. Waghorn should, and deserves a start.

First one he missed was a 20yard lob, a great effort which brought out a good save from Kenny. Maybe should have done better from the corner straight after which just went over the bar. But it's not the fact he missed his chances today that annoyed me, it's the fact he didn't make an effort to close down the QPR midfielders in their own half or chase back the ball. I know I've said previously that it's not part of his game and not the way he plays, but I'm on about opposition players which are merely 5 yards away. He stands and watches other players do the hard work.

Basically trying to find a way for both Yakubu and Waghorn to play. Same as today but Gallagher in for Oakley, add a bit of craft and a better set piece.

Then again he did make all of his own chances today. None of our other strikers could or would try some of stuff he attempted.

Just Dyer in for Oakley from today's team.

Waghorn missed more clear cut chances today. Yak created everything himself and almost scored a ridiculous goal

Today's the first time I've tried to pick a City team since Sven's arrival and what a nightmare it is.

It's impossible to get the balance right.

Pick a team without Gallagher and I have to ask who'll take the dead ball kicks, ordinary as Gallagher is for too much of the time?.

Put any two from Oakley, Abe, Wellens in central midfield and there's no goals threat.

Try to install some pace and you have to pick Dyer but he's not so clever at passing and retaining the ball.

And so you go on - every selection leaves an uncomfortable problem.

Somehow as Marbella Dave suggests, the parts seem better as individuals rather than collected together in a team.

But then, for all their money, it has taken QPR considerable time to assemble a team that looks strong all round.

Does my head in when Waghorn takes corners! He is terrible at it and besides we could do with him bustling around in the box.

I think you are right about our configurations all being somewhat awkward. I know they are pretty much our two best players but I thinnk a lot of the difficulty stems from trying to fit King and Wellens into the same team.

I'm sure some people will disagree, but this game for me is now a cup final. Lose it and I can't see us regaining the confidence to mount a serious challenge again this season. I'd like to see Waghorn partner the Yak for a spell, to see how they get on together, I reckon given time they could be a very good partnership.

Not going to this due to work experience interview in Spain. I'd stick with the same team as Saturday as it sounded as if we were the better side. This game one of the most vital matches for a long time. Slightly worried due to us having countless opportunities but not making them into goals, against a Norwich side that have pacey wingers and seem to score right at the death.
