See the terrace opposite had no issues yet thats suppost to be the danger to us all.

Recognise the lad now, had a quick 2 mins with him pre QPR, wish him all the best.

yeah it probably will, the irony of it being safe standing could have prevented it....

Yupp after the 3rd goal, it'll just fuel the club's wishes for us all to sit down and clap when we score.

Surely this is a case where standing/no standing doesn't even come in to it? It was a case of guy climbing scaffolding and unfortunately coming to harm. I assume under safe-standing proposals, people wouldn't be allowed to do whatever they wanted (ie. climbing on structures)? I don't understand why people are saying safe standing would have prevented this?

I also don't understand those that say that forcing people to sit would have prevented this happening. You can't legislate for accidents, or people taking risks themselves.

i would imagine he is well aware of the gravity of his action now

Although I don't think there are any concrete rules regarding this type of situation.

Saw him yesterday, guess it was his first game back, doesn't look too bad considering. Was on crutches (had a wheelchair too) had something over his knee, arm plastered.

Was he the lad yesterday who was being wheeled out just before the end giving the Burnley fans some stick?
