NewquayFox Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 Me and my 13 year old Sons first game at the Walkers this season and unfortunately what a crock of shite that was, if that is the the best that City have to offer against a poor team then thank Christ we are not going to be playing in the Premier League next season, i feel sorry for all the (unfortunately deluded) City fans that think we are good enough to go up but after that showing today i can`t see us progressing. Ricardo in goal had nothing to do all game and could do nothing about the goal, Bamba & Bruma did the job at the back but why no Vitor? Naughton was fantastic if caught out a couple of times and my MOM (worth 3 Mill at least) if Mee is Premier league then so is my Mam, midfield was poor, Wellens was non existent and probably the worst i have seen him in a City shirt, Abe worked his socks off to no effect as did Gallagher but King was dismal, i bought a City kit before the game and my Lad chose King 10 on the shirt, i might take it back and see if they can change it too MAY 80 as its my Mams birthday this year. Onto the strikers, Vassell ran around with no service at all, Yakubu was and in my opinion a lazy feckin so and so and please tell me we are not paying £20.000 plus a week for this gobshite? i love Waghorn but him & Dyer were innafective and added to a piss poor game of so called football. Onto the fans, maybe i caught them on an off day but were we supposed to be at home?????? ;0(

Onto the fans, maybe i caught them on an off day but were we supposed to be at home?????? ;0( couldnt get to the game as i was working but it sounded poor from what i heard - i just think we have to keep supporting them as best we can and hope that either Sven or somebody else can sort them out in the summer as it clearly isnt our year this season. As for the support, 26'000 wasnt bad as a gate but our home support is never as good as our away support

Forums are all about making comments, the fact that for some reason you don't agrree gives you the right to comment.. albiet wrong. We never seem to do we against steve cotterills sides, they are poor but he did his homework and stopped us playing (not that would take much) not nice but effective, they're too poor to try to out play us. Full stretch double punch on the cross over a group of players, not many that could off caughtt it, freak goal, would have to see again Mee- Eng under 21, tipped full the full Eng team and very much in Man City's plans, sent here for a bit of match pratice

I don't think so. he's made a judgement based on one poor game, which several others have now pointed out as well. Saying Mee has someone been lauded as Premiership class is factually incorrect as well. The number of ill-thought out and categorically untrue posts on here gets higher every day that's all.

I love City and have supported them all my life and yesterday was rubbish. Seen them away at Cardiff, Swansea, Bristol and QPR and the City fans were brilliant but it just seemed flat yesterday and the players didnt want to know, luckily with the way the other results went we still have a chance of the play offs but need to buck our ideas up. Sorry if you think my post was worthless but isnt this Forum about posting your opinions?

You've just added too them A single celled amoeba couldn't miss the fact that Mee is seen by his club and Sven as being on the verge of the premiership ie 'premership class' isn't that wer've borrowed him? He's not the finished article and will have poor games, Man City have sent him here for that reason, on a good day he is better than our Championship players Assuming you see 'lauded' as to give praise / glorify there have been masses from Man City, Leicester and on message boards 'Lauding' him as Premiership in waiting, we're just a stepping stone. Spoke to a Villa fan after tthe game and his opinion was similar to the original poster, he based it on that game as he hadn't seen any others + didn't have his rose couloured specs on. There are worrying signs and we have been sussed, hopefully in time Sven will have realise whats required, very tough league Norwich shown how it should be done, we all have opinions

Tbh I think he could come good. Seems to have similar potential to Jack Hobbs did a few years back. But to judge him against a fabricated tag of 'prem class' is unfair to say the least, he's promising, nothing more, nothing less.
