the_fosse Posted 28 March 2011 Posted 28 March 2011 The rigid 4-4-2 was ditched by Capello in Wales. Have we now finally caught up with the rest of the World? Do we have a good enough group of players and can they do it in this system against the very best? Interesting topic nevertheless. http://sportales.com/soccer/4-3-3-asy-england-are-coming/
MikeyT Posted 28 March 2011 Posted 28 March 2011 Pop this in the general sport section and you're good to go.
Brown Fox Posted 28 March 2011 Posted 28 March 2011 England beat a piss poor Wales side. Once again an over-reaction. Imagine playing Spain and Brazil. Then Capello would get crucified again etc. Same old cycle..
Maybes Posted 28 March 2011 Posted 28 March 2011 We beat a poor welsh team and everyone is juicing themselves. Same old. We tend to do well or at least get the job done in qualification (bar McClaren) and just epically fail on the big stage.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 28 March 2011 Posted 28 March 2011 I'd love some England fans just to admit that we're actually a half decent side.
accessory Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 ...until Gerrard comes back. Parker and Wilshere should be given a regular run in the team.
Wymsey Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 ...until Gerrard comes back. He hasn't been at his best in recent matches and tends to get more injury niggles now.
ajthefox Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 I'd love some England fans just to admit that we're actually a half decent side. For what it's worth I'd happily say we're a decent side, but beating Wales 2-0 is nothing to shout about is it?
