Scepticism comes very easily to those of us who have endured a succession of inadequate halfwits who have filled the manager's chair during the past decade at our club. If Sven turns out to be the one who ends that dismal run then all respect will be due. However there is still a lot of work to do, especially in the transfer market, before that can happen. And his previous spells in English football were hardly unqualified successes, were they? I would liken his time at Manchester City to Pearson's time here. Not spectacularly successful but undeniable progress after years of dross which attracted investors with deeper pockets. And it's hardly fair to judge him on his time at Notts County, because Munto Finance were obviously a joke there.

Guest MattP Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 I dont understand why anyone who gives a slight bit of constructive criticism is automatically a "sven hater" For the record I love the guy, think he did a great job for most of last season and his appointment is a superb thing to happen, I would be putting a new deal on the table for him now as it seems to have slipped most peoples minds his contract runs out in 10 months. However just because of that I'm not going to praise his signing of Ricardo or his shocking defensive changes last season just because its "Sven" :sge:
