Nick Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 Whilst trudging the dour foxestalk summer of 'fonetic yoof' and associated tribulations of the grammarless, textualisation that is reminiscent of chewing tin foil for kicks, I stopped to look around. I suddenly noticed the lack of Sven hatred on the boards. "Where have they all gone" I asked myself. Maybe they are now seeing that this man knows how to assemble a team of footballers. Or maybe they are hoping Sven will fail and the club will go into administration so that they can be proved right. Anyway, you remember when we talked about Sven not having a pre-season? Well this is what the beginnings of one looks like. Missing you. letsallhaveadisco Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 We now realise that Sven isn't stupid with the money he is being given, I was afraid we would be stuck with the mediocre players that we had on loan last season, he has the right idea and he is getting proven plays which can do their job!

I feel with a thread title it's important to get the point across in as fewer 'characters' as possible. There simply isn't the attention span for threads with more than five words in the title. When the first 5 or so games aren't perfection, they'll find fault with all his signings, formations, team choices, and of course substitutions. Anyone who disagrees, or fails to totally see the negative aspects of everything Sven related will thus be called a 'Sven-Bummer' etc. At the moment they know it would be foolish to moan, and it's difficult to dismiss the evidence of progression and calculated decision making on Sven's behalf. They'll be back. The kitchen lights are on, and they are hiding in the cracks under the cupboards.

Unfortunately I'll take the bait, you're so expertly dangling Referring to last season, Sven at times did a great job at times and did a poor job at times, people who can't see both sides of that fence (the blind cheerleaders or the blind haters) are the deluded ones. Some things he did great were Some amazing pieces of business Played a flexible formation that seems to be played by the top clubs & even countries now Played a high tempo, attractive game Some things he did poorly were Some poor pieces of business Inflexible with a formation that just wasn't working away from home in the majority of games Inexplicable rotating of players that did upset the apple cart (Vitor & Mee were victims of this, with Bruma being principal beneficiary) Different people will be add or subtract to each list based on their opinion So what have we learned: Different people have different opinions. Who'd have thought?
