Unfortunately I'll take the bait, you're so expertly dangling Referring to last season, Sven at times did a great job at times and did a poor job at times, people who can't see both sides of that fence (the blind cheerleaders or the blind haters) are the deluded ones. Some things he did great were Some amazing pieces of business Played a flexible formation that seems to be played by the top clubs & even countries now Played a high tempo, attractive game Some things he did poorly were Some poor pieces of business Inflexible with a formation that just wasn't working away from home in the majority of games Inexplicable rotating of players that did upset the apple cart (Vitor & Mee were victims of this, with Bruma being principal beneficiary) Different people will be add or subtract to each list based on their opinion So what have we learned: Different people have different opinions. Who'd have thought? I'm not talking about constructive criticism - I'm talking about those calling for his head on a stick. Those whose blind negativity was as irrational as Col City and lcfcstu's lovechild.

Great to see you've come round Col and changed your mind. Obviously you have done this in a most balanced fashion and retain the higher ground in your mind. Others may call it being wrong. We were going to win the league playing attractive football with a tight defence.Lamey was a great signing.Even after 6 or 7 games anyone who questioned the manager was an idiot . I appreciate this is probably windupery but lets just wait and see eh?

Disagree Webbo, I gave Sousa a fair crack of the whip and then called for his head when it was clear he'd lost the plot - It's not comparable to Sven who has not even had the luxury of choosing his own players or having a pre-season. Again, I'm not knocking criticism I'm having a pop at the Sven Haters who labelled the rational people Sven Bummers.

You're either a bumboy or a hater. It's quite possible for 2 intelligent, rational people to take opposite views. We're all Leicester fans after all, we all want what's best for the club. A good argument can be entertaining sometimes but it's been nothing but lately and it's getting boring now.

This thread was not about being 'better' it's simply for those who could not take on board that Sven wasn't playing with his own side, nor had he had a pre-season to get a side playing his kind of football. This is what day 1 of the pre-season looks like, I simply want people to 'get it' who for months wrote the same thing in every thread voicing their discontent without taking on board football basics.

If we don't... Who knows. Not having a moan, just trying to be realistic in saying we will be back to square one next summer if we don't get to where we want

Nick is pointing out to the 'EXTREMISTS' who have posted that Sven will end in failure and us in debt. Unsurprisingly this thread has attracted those who feel they are flying the flag of reason and reality, and those who disagree with them are part of the Sven love-in. Nick is not saying this by any means. Sven is open to criticism from me and everyone else. He's not infallible and will make mistakes that will be discussed in reasonable terms. It's the people who blamed our lack of promotion for elements that were out of Sven's control last season, that rile the majority, and the posters who simply wouldn't accept this under any circumstances that have disappeared. I'll say that we won't hit the ground running, and there will be bumps along the way. I suspect these same posters will be back at that stage to bleat 'I told you so', when in fact, the reality is that our likely trajectory will be upwards in success.
