DM me and we'll talk.

No problem.

I'm astonished anyone can even consider Harrison beating Price to be honest, I thought he looked pretty average against Ali Adams last month. He's never gone the distance with a fighter of Price's quality let alone beaten one.

As for 2012. (we'll check thee next year)

I'll predict.

Vitali defeats Chisora and Haye before retiring himself.

Khan regains his title over Petersen in another controversial decision to set up a November classic again.

Froch bounces back with a homecoming win over a midrank like Green to set up a huge clash with Bute or Kessler later in the year.

Pacman defeats JMM in a rematch at 147.

Britain gets a new world champion in Kell Brook.

Ricky Burns loses his title to Adrian Broner.

Andre Ward V Lucien Bute is the superfight everyone is now talking about...

Miguel Cotto fights Sergio Martinez in a megafight.

Floyd Mayweather fights once and it's another tomato can.

George Groves is considered world class.

James De Gale is beaten in a huge shock.

The 2012 Olympics unearths two new British stars in Luke Campbell and Anthony Joshua.

Just reading my predictions from December last night, hit the bottom line pretty spot on!

you were pretty "hit and miss"

4 Months to go yet! some look quite shocking mind!!

Pretty rookie mistake in thinking Froch would take an easy fight and got Martinez and Mayweather the wrong way round.

World champions are on King's wish list
Tuesday, August 14, 2012Leicester MercuryFollow
Scott King is ready to meet his heavyweight heroes – inside and outside the ring.
King defends his EBF Midlands Area heavyweight title against Lenny Buttling at Liquid Envy on Saturday, September 8 – and the Blaby basher has been handed added incentive to keep the belt he won at the city-centre venue in March.
He plans to show his belt to ring legend Mike Tyson when he visits The Colosseum on Melton Road on Thursday, October 11 – and could go on to meet another former world heavyweight champion.
Promoter Scott Lansdowne, the former heavyweight contender currently working as a personal trainer, has contacted European Boxing Federation bosses about a possible match with 'Terrible' Tim Witherspoon.
Witherspoon, remembered by British fight fans for beating Frank Bruno in a world-title defence, regularly boxes competitive exhibition matches.
Lansdowne has confirmed that if King beats Buttling, he could share a ring with Witherspoon later this year.
King, however, is refusing to look beyond his next fight.
"Lenny's been saying a lot about what he's going to do to me. " said King. "That shows me that he's scared.
"I've got a lot to prove and with a possible fight against Witherspoon being lined up, there's no way he's taking the belt off me."
King also hopes to take tips from Tyson, who was crowned the youngest world heavyweight champion in November, 1986, and went on to unify the belts.
King is in no doubt where 'Iron' Mike ranks among boxing's best.
"For me, he was the best there's ever been," he said. "Tyson didn't just beat top-class fighters, he destroyed them.
"I would love a couple of minutes with him when he comes to Leicester to pick his brains."
King hopes to have a big crowd cheering him on when he battles Buttling.
Tickets are available from 07510 166322. For more details go to:

Cracking night of boxing tonight.

Fight of year possible in Chavez v Martinez, two proper Latin warriors who will leave it all on the line.

Posted

Battle of Britain tomorrow night.

World Lightweight Title, Ricky Burns V Kevin Mitchell, hopefully Kevin can get his redemption for the Katisidis fight.

Posted

McCloskey has done well.

Did well to win after what Corley did to him, Frampton beat a tomato can in Molitor which was a shame considering in his prime he was have raped Frampton.

Kevin Mitchell loses in the battle of Britain, fair play to Ricky Burns, he's a World Class fighter.

Hatton V Senchenko announced, (Quigg v Munroe on undercard)

Sold out already (why it's at the MEN I have no idea) so tickets will be damn ard to get, hopefully Rendall will get a decent allocation.

Could turn into the scrap in Vegas when 30,000 for fighting for about 4,000 seats at the Mayweather fight this one. :trumpet:

I'm looking now but people are taking the piss, can see some on ebay for £150 but I'm not paying that unless it's a decent view at the MEN, I had to shell out £400 for Hatton - Mayweather and was offered a grand the day before the fight but I'm refusing on principle to pay that amount again for a seat in the gods.

Posted

I won't be paying for my ticket - I couldn't justify the cash to get one from anywhere else!

Try and sneak yourself on the undercard lol A certain boxer from Derbyshire tried the same to get in the arena for Haye Ruiz a couple of years back.

You ever had any pro fights?

lol No - I was the second best amateur in the East Midlands though - I had a number of fights and came second nearly every time.

lol

Sounds like me, I had two problems,

1. I couldn't punch (I made Zuri Lawrence look like Mike Tyson)

2. I had no skill

I did possess a decent chin mind, problem was that made me perfect cannon fodder for anyone half decent.

I remain distinctly average across the board excelling in no particular area 'Steady' is what I was regularly described as!

price of hotels is a fooking joke though now

I was hoping to go and see the Brian Rose V Vivian Harris fight tonight at the Winter Gardens Blackpool but I've not been too well over the last couple of days so I'm not going to make it. Shame because I think Rose is a great fighter.

Also boxings 1st openly gay fighter in history has come out of the corner.

Wouldn't want be in the clinch with him, are all his opponents gay bashers now? :D

I like Brian Rose as well was impressed when he beat Prince Aaron a whole ago to win the British title.

Can't believe Viviam Harris is still going!!

I probably think it's time Harris hung up the gloves, unless he don't mind working the circuit and getting knock-out for a few quid.

Apparently it was a devastating punch by Rose in the 3rd and Harris was out before he hit the canvas. Good victory for Rose and it get's a name on his record but little else.

What now for Rose. Maybe a rescheduled fight with Sam Webb or a fight with Erick Ochieng. ?
