Im guessing your on the wind up, but if not, i made the mention of it being about human achievement to ensure people didnt begin referring to motor racing and the like. You will note i also referred to him as a man in the final line.

I must have done... so, i re-read it and still dont (anyone have access to a carbon fibre brain that will enhance my understanding?) However i would welcome yourr response that answers the origianl question of the topic... "explain why i am wrong". I dont need explanations as to why all people should be treated equally in the workplace and day to day life, i understand, welcome and support that. But elite sport is different, my disability of not being able to perform at the level of a premier league footballer or olympic athlete,is not about inequality, whether that is due to me not having big enough muscles, or missing part of my body or just being to damn lazy to work hard enough, the fact remains without artificial interference i cannot compete. (i have considered a mass doping of all footballers better than me.. but sadly there just isnt enough ketamine in the world). I reiterate, from what i understand, this "person" is a superb athlete, who shows the true meaning of dedication and is a fantastic athlete. But, i dont see how it is fair for him to compete with artificial assistance.

So I think I have already answered your question in my original post Ok i see, and yes i agree in the main, however.. and im not trying to be a smartass, how does this theory apply to wheelchair athletes fro example? (Im happy to be corrected about the exact times.. cant be arsed googling them) Im not sure but i think the Olympic marathon record is somwhere around 2 hours currently. The wheelchair marathon record is i think around 1 hour. Should a wheelchair athlete be allowed to compete in the Olympic marathon and have his/her/ambiguous record stand as the olympic record?

(What I mean is one sport is using motor functions and the other isnt, so you cannot really compare) So not the best example to use against the Oscar debate as it defeats the purpose of that question, he is using the same functions as would an ''abled'' athlete... ...but if the carbon fibre legs had wheels it would be an unfair advantage

Whislt there are clear differences betwen the wheels and the carbon legs, the basic is the same. A person with a disability is able to compete in something they otherwise wouldnt.

Being on wheels is a completely different thing. If there was a sport where able-bodied athletes sat in wheelchairs and raced them then I again would see no problem with someone who has lost their legs competing against them.
