The Year Of The Fox Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 I am due my first upgrade on my contract phone as of tomorrow. Anyone have any recommendations for o2 phones? Not necessarily keen on the iphone or blackberry due to the nature of my job. Are these smartphones the way forward though? I do tend to use my camera/video on the phone so good quality pictures with quite high megapixels is fairly important. Had a Sony Ericsson W995 or whatever its called, and its a great phone bar the fact that the charger port has been fkued for the last 6 months and is hard to get it on charge (typical Sony Ericsson) I currently spend about £45 a month on my contract. Unlimited texts are a must. Do you receive some sort of loyalty bonus if 'm upgrading, (meaning better tariff options)

It's not top of the range but it does loads and is very easy to use. I have found texting on it to be far easier that on the old phone as it has a qwerty keypad on the touch screen. It has a 2.5 x 2 inch screen has a 5 mpx camera and video. a lot of memory. The only downside to it is battery life which can run out in a few hours if using instant messaging continuously. Hope this is useful. I looked at a review site before I deciced which phone to go for. TBH iPhones are ok but expensive. The HTC is a good value alternative. (I HATE my works blackberry)
Bellend Sebastian Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/20-best-mobile-phones-in-the-world-today-645440 These boys do ludicrously detailed reviews and update this list fairly regularly. Importantly, they seem to take value for money into account which was why at the time I got my HTC Desire it was a nose ahead of the Iphone 4, which although arguably marginally better cost a hell of a lot more at the time. Samsung Galaxy S II is currently top. The original one was very nice, not had a go with the current version
ajthefox Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Just so you know, more pixels doesn't equate to a better camera, so don't make judgement on a camera just because one has 1 more megapixel than another.
