topharry123 Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Wouldn't mind this at all. Definitely if it's a loan. Has always looked good, and alhtough he didn't do fantastic at West Brom his stats are a little misleading because of the amount of subs appearances he had for them. If we can bring Keane in as well i'd be delighted with Keane, Cox, Nugent and Schlupp !!
Nick Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Now this seems in the realms of possibility - personally, I'm not "over-keen" (Do you get it?) but understand he is a good footballer who would get goals.
Hack Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 This loan (if it is even just a rumour) together with the hopeful transfer of Robbie Keane would suit all fans, as it would give us the young up and coming Premier League striker to suit the we don't won't an old guy has been. Then the Keane transfer would suit the larger group looking forward to a very experinced high quaility big name striker who will score at least 20 goals. Strike force will then be: Keane Nugent Cox Waghorn Howard Vassell Schlupp Kermogant With some to go out perm or on loan. That would be a formidiable front line for any team. Highly unlikely though, but nice to think about.
Babylon Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 So where exactly have we been linked to Cox other than in someones blog (am i the only one who doesn't have a blog now days?).
Hack Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 So where exactly have we been linked to Cox other than in someones blog (am i the only one who doesn't have a blog now days?). Nowhere other than that blog and a few poster on here saying they would like him, from what I have seen. Doubt WBA let him go right now, but you never know.
Babylon Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Doubt WBA let him go right now, but you never know. I doubt it as well as Woy Wodgson was saying they are short of strikers, they are letting Miller go (by the looks of it) and have only signed Long.
paddy Agyemang Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 these 2 will be very good, Simon Cox is really good him n Keane together would be deadly them 2 with Nugent on the bench send Kermorgant out on a permenant Schlupp on loan until January would be superb

Clearly there is more chance by the sounds of things in getting Robbie K. The Simon Cox things looks to be pure conjecture by a Leicester fan who writes a blog. However it would be a good combination to have for sure.
MGLCFC Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Nugent left, Keane in the middle and Cox on the right WOW If only this could happen!!!!

sphericalfox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 My start my own blog so people believe everything I make up. Not with grammar like that you won't!
Babylon Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Do you really think people believe this? Read the thread. Yes. Not with grammar like that you won't! You do realise I can ban you with the click of a button blog boy.
sphericalfox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 This is why I generally avoid writing articles on transfer rumours on my bloggins. People start to take things as fact, when this particular footballing individual has a much chance of joining us as Robin Van Persie. Simon Cox is needed at West Brom, they are short of players in forward positions, though they have just bought Long. Two Irish strikers for them is likely a clever option as they will grow together to form a lasting partnership, which Woy is unlikely to want to break up. So unless they have another 4-5 million tucked away for another striker, after breaking the bank to bring in Long, then i this will NEVER happen.
sphericalfox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Read the thread. Yes. You do realise I can ban you with the click of a button blog boy. I were messing Babs. My articles are littered with bad grammar, misspellings, and meandering babblings. It's not fair for me to point out errors of others. You're more than welcome to do a 'guest spot' though should you fancy it.
