Mack Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 So much is written on here after one home performance. Sure it was disappointing, but it may well be a much needed reality check for the players and some of our fans who thought we only had to show up this season to obtain 3 points. Questioning some of the players, the manager, the formation... the way in which the pitch is brushed.. blah blah blah after one home game is premature. Give them a chance and show them your full support!

Yes there are issues to remedy but anybody calling for the managers head two games in knows nothing about football.
Zingari Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 he's had two fookin games so i'm calling for the managers head i know fook all about football though
Mack Posted 14 August 2011 Author Posted 14 August 2011 If appears this thread dies whilst people spend endless reams of words writing off our season. We're doooooooooomed

Give them a chance and show them your full support! I agree with you mack... It's far too soon to know anything. For me, I was more upset yesterday about the manner of the loss than the loss itself. If we had played some good, attractive football, attacked with pace and lost 3-2 for example, I would have been more satisfied with what I saw and would have enjoyed an entertaining game. As it was, the first half was possibly the most boring, unadventurous performance I have seen for some time. THAT concerns me and frankly I was sat there bored shitless. With the money spent THAT is unacceptable...
Corky Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 In the long run it may not be the worst result, so long as Sven realises his mistakes and learns from them. That's the key.
somebum Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 In Sven's case, it is not just yesterday's game. But as far as the team is concerned, too early to judge player ability.
Mack Posted 14 August 2011 Author Posted 14 August 2011 Oh no I just heard someone was seen eating a bag of gummy bears in the stands.. what is happening to our club!?
stillwater Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 Spot on M8, get behind the team there are bound to be a few ups and downs throughout the season lets not get dragged into the gloom and doom just yet
Ian pcp Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 I totally agree with this post, it is far too early to judge. Let's admit it we went to coventry and picked up 3 points last weekend, we then did what everyone expected us to do and that was to go to Rotherham and win well, which we did. I believe we will go up automatically whether that's in first or second place. I also believe that we will do far better away from home where the pressure will be less intense. we will obviously win home matches but teams will be coming to leicester to put one over us, therefore we will need to learn to grind out results. When we are away the pressure will be more on the home side to perform, therefore more scope for Sven to play his Chess board tactics, and for the players to turn it on. We need an average of 2 points a game for automatic promotion, that would give us 92 points. This obviously equates to having 20 points after the Derby game 1st oct or gathering 8 points every 4 games, which gives us the flexibility to loose 1 match in 4 if we win the other 3 or win 2 draw 2. Finally I seem to remember that West Ham lost their first home game but I guess none of us have wrote them off yet.
