Leicester Bean Posted 20 October 2011 Posted 20 October 2011 Wondered how long he'd last! http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_7252561,00.html
Craig Posted 20 October 2011 Posted 20 October 2011 Not sure why people find it amusing that a player (a former Leicester player at that) has a reoccurring injury that has clearly stopped him from fulfilling his ambition and potential. There's only so much more he'll be able to take before he's forced to retire. Hilarious. Edit - And that's not just a dig at you 'Leicester Bean', I've seen it in other threads too.
Fox92 Posted 20 October 2011 Posted 20 October 2011 Already covered in the Doncaster/Leeds thread but I don't personally find it funny. The man had the potential to be an England goalkeeper at one point.

I think he has been kidding himself and the clubs he has played for in recent years into thinking he still has something to offer. A little honestly all round would gain him more respect for his problems.

I'm sure nobody wishes it on him, it's just amusing because it's so inevitable.

surrifox Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Willie McKay is using Donny as a shop window to place high profile out of contract players with other clubs. (in exchange for the usual ridiculous success fee of course). Attempting to get someone to award a contract to Kirkland who he must know is unfit is unethical at the very least. Why so indignant about comments on the possibility of CK retiring? You might feel differently if you supported a club that had dumped a good part of its transfer budget on a crock.
