yet we always seem to make way for Tigers, is it some agreement the clubs came to or money talking ?

This isn't true. Tigers games are moved far more often than ours, usually because more of their games are shown on TV.

Well exactly, they're far more attractive in terms of TV for the audience the braodcasters want hence they're moved. Tigers do not get a say when the game is shown, so we have no choice but to move if Sky or ESPN want it on a Saturday.

Of course, that won't stop people blaming the Tigers, those 'bloody egg chasers' and generally being ignorant to the situation.

Only in England would a citys' fans not unite in their support for their (non-footballing, don't be a pedant) sport teams. Sigh.

Not interested in Rugby, never have been never will be, if the bloody tigers folded tomorrow I wouldn't give a toss and I know for a fact most of their supporters feel the same about football!

Oh and don't talk about a city's sporting fans not being united is only an issue in England, try Spain and Scotland!!

I think this attitude towards the tigers stems from their lack of support towards us other the years.

When I was a child my parents would sometimes take my brother and myself to the tigers if City weren't playing or were away. This was also a time that when tigers got to twickenham there support was swelled by a large number of city fans.

But in the end we stopped going. The reason being that when their tannoy announcer read out the city score and we were losing, they would cheer. This animosity towards city is still evident today. The mercury regularly receives letters from disgruntled tigers fans complaining that we get far more coverage in the paper than they do despite their success. As highlighted in an article recently in the paper leicester city sell papers, the tigers don't.

Of course all this could have something to do with a large part of their support coming from outside the county but I feel to solely blame the footy fans is unfair as in my experience it's a two way thing.

This is not a City - Tigers issue it's Leicester City Council / Police / traffic issue as they feel unable to cope with 45000 fans milling about on the same day.

They'll probably be hoping that the Thai's dream of a full 40k+ King Power Stadium remains a dreamwhistle.gif
