dylanlegend Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 ....or this is all a bit deja vuey... 1) Milan Mandaric Chairman of Portsmouth 2) Appoints Harry Redknapp manager 3) Redknapp wins team promotion 4) Mandaric and Redknapp fall out due to Mandaric interfering etc 5) Redknapp resigns due to Mandaric being a knob and takes over at Southampton 6) Mandaric makes up a load of crap about how you can make loads of money by buying a football club and he himself makes a lot of profit by selling the club to rich buisnessmen 7) Portsmouth fail to live up to expectations and re-appoint Redknapp from Southampton 8) Portsmouth spend loads of money, have a few years success then nearly go bankrupt Hopefully point number 8 will not happen to Leicester but I couldn’t help but feel when the new owners bought the club this is a possibility. It just seems weird how the two paths are very similar… and getting more similar by the minute!! I think the moral of the story is… As time is proving… Milan Mandaric is a massively incompetent chairman who made shocking decisions while he was at the club (huge interference, letting Pearson go, selling Gradel without the consent of Pearson IMHO etc) and OBVIOUSLY just used the club to make as much ££££ as possible. I just hope the last decision he made (selling the club to our thai owners) was an decent one that will eventually all work out for all parties involved and the thai owners will keep the faith for as long as possible (their “net worth” of £160mill doesn’t fill me with much confidence though). Now we have NP back in charge we are imo back on track!!! Whether we like him or not lets get behind the team as much as possible… this season may be the most important and one that could define the history of our beloved club LCFC
Wink Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Omg we are gonna win the fa cup and go bankrupt!! Nooooooooooooooo!!
TheUltimateWinner Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Whats more realistic is the Man City saga... 1) Thai Owners 2) Shitloads of money 3) SVENNIS </3 4) Sven Sacked in a weird situation 5) Mark Hughes (So we havent appointed him but he was linked, And applied)
nuttytimmy Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Omg we are gonna win the fa cup and go bankrupt!! Nooooooooooooooo!! Heck, if we blow it all on winning the FA Cup then who cares?

Might be wrong
Tielemans63 Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Didn't Redknapp return whilst Mandy was still there thoguh. Might be wrong Yeah he did. The biggest similarities between the two situations is that Mandaric sold at a tidy profit to less-than-knowledgeable foreign owners!* *Sorry, Vichai was at the 1996 Coca Cola Cup reply of course
Oh tommy wright Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Heck, if we blow it all on winning the FA Cup then who cares? Too right FA cup win in my life time is worth 40 more years of depression. Bring it on.
