Len Finsbury Posted 14 December 2011 Posted 14 December 2011 "may have been glimpsed' is more than we've seen of 'god' or any other supernatural deity.
flowwolf Posted 14 December 2011 Posted 14 December 2011 It's like catching a glimpse of the flesh on a woman between the stocking top and the knickers. It gets you wondering what's inside the knickers and what does it look like. My idea of heaven.

It gets you wondering what's inside the knickers and what does it look like. My idea of heaven. If you're lucky, like a rose, ready to be savoured. If you're unlucky, like a mountain gorilla which has self harmed.
BoneDog Posted 15 December 2011 Posted 15 December 2011 I'm waiting to see what Miles Mathis has to say about this because those guys at CERN cannot be trusted! Probably. A glimpse of Miles below. I only started reading him because I heard Dawkins call him either a crank or a crackpot, so I thought, "Arrr, this Miles fellow must be onto something then. I must check him out". http://tallbloke.wordpress.com/2011/02/20/miles-mathis-democracy-in-science/ http://milesmathis.com/neutrino.pdf Interesting reading whether you agree with him or not I think.

Mathis is a woolgatherer who gets off on standing apart from the scientific crowd. He does make an interesting point on the idea of the 'democratisation' of scientific research - after all, some of the greatest and most widely accepted scientific theories today were generated by individuals who thought unconventionally, and I do agree that collectivism in research may not be the best idea - but he overexaggerates the problems and questions the integrity of pretty much every scientific researcher out there. Basically, he's the science version of Ron Paul - some really good ideas, but far too polemic to be taken 100% seriously. Back on topic - the people down at CERN have a lot more work to do before this can be made official. Elementary particle physics has always been a remarkably tough area to get verifiable results in anyway, as observation is pretty fvcking difficult when what you're trying to observe is smaller than the wavelength of the radiation you're using to observe it.
flowwolf Posted 16 December 2011 Posted 16 December 2011 And there was me thinking we were talking about catching a glimpse of a women's fanny ?
Music Junkie Posted 16 December 2011 Posted 16 December 2011 I'd love to see this in the spotted section of Heat.
