Finnegan Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Romney's record contains more flip-flops than a swimming gala. http://www.mittvmitt.com/ I appreciate you've probably not been to many flip flops so I'll just explain to you politely and calmly that that analogy is a very bad one. (PS: Because people don't wear flip flops at swimming galas.)
Guest MattP Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Romney's record contains more flip-flops than a swimming gala. http://www.mittvmitt.com/ Have a read of his book if you get time, "A case for American greatness" - absolutely fantastic read. He's got everything from the Detroit upbringing to the face America will love, an image a politician can't buy in that country, everything the Democrats had in their guy 5 years ago.
flowwolf Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Of course there will be more blacks (I'd guess Hispanics would be higher than blacks actually from the time I spent travelling the US) in poverty than whites, that's a product of history and something that probably won't come into line for years and years, there is no instant fix for that. A black person who is prepared to work hard in school is in a great position in the states now though with the United Negro College fund and the other initiatives that have been put in place to try and re-address this over time. The point I was making is what a black man can do, if they can achieve being president they can do anything. Out of interest (and I'l take your word for it as you come across as an honourable man), were you one of the politically left minded 5 years ago that were saying Obama had no chance as the USA was far too "racist" to elect a black man to the whitehouse? The way some people speak about the country you would think the lynchings only finished 10 years ago. Sorry to be pedantic but Obama is not Black he is mixed race. so you actually have the first mixed race President.
FoxyPV Posted 13 January 2012 Posted 13 January 2012 Sorry to be pedantic but Obama is not Black he is mixed race. so you actually have the first mixed race President. He's defined as Black by everyone else so therefore he's black regardless of his genetic makeup.

He's defined as Black by everyone else so therefore he's black regardless of his genetic makeup. Everyone else ? what a load of bollocks ! how can he be defined as Black when he clearly is not. Are you suggesting we ignore his white parentage then ? because that would be RACIST would it not. That would be like saying he is not black he is white because we choose to ignore his black parent. You fvcking idiot.
