So without preseason, whilst trying to sort out an imbalanced and disgruntled squad, and without any transfers in, NP is only 3 points behind Sven? Pearson is gonna need a long time to turn this shit around. Big thanks to Mandy, paulo and Sven of you ask me.

Guest BlueBrett Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 If people didn't want Sven sacked they shouldn't have booed him at every home game and come out on the radio and internet calling for his head. Fans influence chairmen.

My point is, not that Sven was in control, but that you had to start all over again when Sven was sacked and I am pleased for football that this has happened but I am not pleased that Leicester are not in a better position, because I was hoping your team would be top 4 by now.
drc Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 “I am disappointed to be leaving Leicester City Football Club. It was always my aim to lead the club into the Barclays Premier League and I am very sorry that I won’t be able to do that. “I have always thought, and still believe now, that the club will be promoted this season. The current squad is capable and ready to achieve promotion, but football is a results industry and unfortunately we couldn’t quite get things right enough of the time. “Being the manager of Leicester City was an absolute pleasure and I wish everyone connected with the club the best of luck. Leicester City is a great club and I am certain that with the current owners in charge the club will go from strength to strength. “To the players; old, new, everyone in the squad, I would like to say thank you. You are a talented group and I am hopeful that you will achieve success very soon. “To the staff at the club; both at the stadium and the training ground – you treated me like a king and I shall miss working with you all. “Last but not least, to the fans; I want to say a huge thank you for your support. You are fantastic people and I will never forget the way you welcomed me in to your club. I am just sorry that I won’t be on the bench the day you reach the Premier League.”
Jace Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 they had 9 men though. was 1-0 up until the second sending off. Oh that's alright then losing 0-3 at home to Millwall wasn't that bad afterall, there was me thinking it was a fooking awful result

Gold Coast Fox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Sven should have been sacked - Pearson shouldn't have been re appointed.
cc_star Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Sven had £15m to spend a whole summer to coach... where's the comparison?
shen Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Sven had £15m to spend a whole summer to coach... where's the comparison? Pearson obviously thinks that quite a few of these signings are quality, otherwise he wouldn't have returned and play them in the first place, would he? I seem to remember the critics of Sven gunning him down for his supposed inability to motivate players and his lack of tactical nous. What's Pearson done to show he's an ounce better?
