Wellman Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 Birch gave the crowd a massive lift at last home game against West Ham. He read out the team list and I thought he was quite successful at doing that. Do you think he will carry that on or not?? Plus did you like the kids running round the pitch at half time???? I certainly did, we lost by miles but he gave it as a draw then comfirmed it as a leicester win! Legend
Mark Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 I think he said he was only going to do it once didnt he? It was good though. Much better than the other man doing it he says it so amaturish, and always does Scowcroft last as if we're waiting badly to cheer his name :: Well maybe someone is Half time was half decent, i think it would would of helped if they sorted the MIC out dont you?
Oli Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 We lost by miles because little West Ham fan stopped our kid from going round the corner.
Cobbo Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 Really couldn't hear who the hell Birch was reading out v's West Ham...I thought Gudjonsson was on the bench! Wouldn't mind him reading it out every game, but I would like to hear it!
Guest freund Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 yeh that race was so much better than the legends bit they used to have at half time
Scow Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 I thought it was a complete disaster actually - Could barely hear a word Birch was saying, but that was down to the crap mic.
Guest freund Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 to be honest i can't remember one decent half time show from any matches i've been to
Mark Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 Have the Foxestrust ever asked us for any ideas i cant remember? That may work, get a few ideas in there. Get a band playing or something, Kasabian said they want to play at the stadium so let them!

Guest freund Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 I think the penalty shootouts 12969[/snapback] what, like the one at derby with the kids? and the sheep
Oli Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 No like the ones they used to have at filbo. Not in the five a side goals the ones in the big goalsand the blokes used to go mad when they scored.

The only advice we offered was to vary it rather than being the same each week. Next time we meet them we will try & find out what the plans are
kerryh Posted 19 August 2004 Posted 19 August 2004 I hated Birch reading out the team sheet - he read it too fast and the crowd didn't react as well as they do to the bloke who reads it the over the PA system. Sorry - I'm in the minority! - no surprise there then!
Mad Dog Posted 19 August 2004 Posted 19 August 2004 Bit of a stretch to get a band and all their equiptment on, and get them to play a song or two, and get all their stuff off the pitch again in a 15 minute half time break!

Why can't they just read it out 'normally' and let the crowd determine the reaction. We go to see the football not some jumped up wannabees trying to make a name for themselves.
