Timm, McManaman, Kenton?

Is there any new revalations in these transfer rumours, If we did manage to sign these 3 players, it would be excellent for the team. They are all quality players who would all play a big part in our push for the play-offs, or maybe automatic?

So any news regarding the players?

Timm - another chance by Utd, McManaman - no way no thank you, Kenton - deal is looking iffy. :( <_<

"another chance by Utd" can be interpreted in many ways...We could probably still get him on loan

I'd be er suprised if we got Timm or Macca, simply because 1) we really dont need another right winger (Macca) and 2) I think ManYoo will probably be wanting to hold onto their more able youngsters, especially in the Midfield department, until things have settled down a bit..

But Timm's at that age where he deperately needs first team football to progress his career and development. When it's said that he gets another chance, it might just mean that they won't buy him out of his contract this summer, but will see if he progresses sufficiently next year, possibly while on loan somewhere ;)

macca can also play left wing or central just behind the strikers

But come on...it's Macca! How realistic are we being here? We can't even get players like Laurse, CKR, Scott Robertson and Mo Camara in, and then you start assuming we're into negotiations with Macca?!...Someone's taking the piss and is having a right laugh for starting this rumour...

ps. it wasn't specifically aimed at you napalm ;)

Very true, and a loan is a possibility... but i really can't see us being attracted to taking him on loan unless there is the possibility of a permenant deal. Levein is quite clearly trying to mould a side that will be confident together and familliar with one and other, and i can't see us loaning players in unless either there is the chance of a permenant deal at the end of it, or unless we are desperate and can't secure players for that position on a permenant basis...

aye, but he's always been a right winger first and foremost.. and i can't see him wanting to drop down to championship level unless he's going to be played in his fave position... besides.. as shen said... i really couldn't see it happening...

There is a rumour (backed up by Harry Redknapp's comments this week) that Kenton and a few other Saints' reserves in their late 20's are going to stick around and just pick up their 8-10K a week. Southampton look like being stuck with them as no Championship side will match their wages.

If Kenton wants to play for us (and I'm beginning to doubt it), he'll have to prove it by taking the wage cut. Can't say I'd blame him for staying. I'd do sod all for 12 months for 10 grand a week.

Has anyone heard anything else on him? Perhaps a year-long loan might be arranged with the wages 50/50 between the two clubs? Just a thought.

I prefer not to get excited about it all

I'll just wait and see

Whatever happens I'll still be there in the new seaon (Unless I die or something similar)

To be fair to him why would he take a pay cut when there is a good chance he will get first team football if Redknapp leaves, or should I say when he leaves.
