Vlad the Fox Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 'So today I was watching my 250 Greatest LCFC Goals DVD and obviously Iwan Roberts featured a few times. I never saw him play for us as he was a bit before my time. So I wonder if anybody knows how he actually lost his front teeth?' Joachim knocked them out one night because he refused to turn down is welsh male voice choir LP's.
Cubbyben Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Someone take me back! Pleeeeease! Was in the Kop for nearly every game from 1991-1999. Everything was better then than now EVERYTHING. That Charlton game where Roberts scored a last minute winner only had an attendance of 12k yet the atmosphere at 2-1 in the Kop was better than anything I've ever seen in our current 'home' although the play off semi v Cambridge in 1992 is still the best atmosphere I've ever been in at any ground in the world. Magical memories

Magical memories Thinking about my last statement I'd like to add the Wimbledon semi when we had the whole stand at Selhurst park 'Score Leicester score when you get one you'll get more.....' you know the rest

Magical memories Cambridge United (5-0 - 6-1 on agg.) in April 1992 at Filbert Street was the best game (the best we've ever played at home at that second tier level) and the best atmosphere I've ever witnessed in my 28 years of attending Filbert Street & Walkers/KP Stadium too. "Brian Little's King" and "- ooh Tommy Wright"! Even Ormondroyd got on the score sheet that night! I also remember a certain Dion Dublin, Lee Philpott and Stevie Claridge playing for the completely outclassed opposition that night! A shame we were cheated out of the final at Wembley v Blackburn by Speedie though - but he made up for it two years later in some ways I guess! Nothing to do with Iwan Roberts I know but these threads do go off at a tangent!
