Saxondale Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 I wanted to post this in the 'big news to come' thread but it's been locked. Here is a summary of planning applications submiited by the club since 2005: As you can see, no permission sough to expand the stadium, though there does seem to be an ongoing application to get the stadium approved for concerts etc. 20111168 Conditionally Approved 6/10/11 ALTERATIONS TO NORTH-WEST SIDE OF STADIUM COMPRISING NEW FRONTAGE TO CLUB SHOP AND FORMATION OF WINDOWS WITH COUNTERS TO TICKET OFFICE. 20071323 Conditionally Approved 14/8/2007 ALTERATIONS TO TICKET OFFICE OF FOOTBALL CLUB (CLASS D2) 20062258 Conditionally Approved 23/02/2007 TWO NON ILLUMINATED FASCIA SIGNS 20061875 Not yet concluded? accessory Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 The permission for expansion may have been given when the stadium was built in 2001-02. When the Tigers built the Caterpillar Stand a couple of years ago, they also got permission to build new stands on the other 3 sides of the ground. But they haven't got round to doing it yet.
Saxondale Posted 24 February 2012 Author Posted 24 February 2012 Very possibly true, fair point. Original planning consent 20001491 Can't see any mention but doesn't mean it isn't in there somewhere.
SMX11 Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 Planning permission only last three years, you have to start the works before that time or you will have to start the process again. However it takes around 8 weeks or so to get it. Can't see this 'big' news being anything to do with the expansion of the stadium.

Libertine Dream Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 If you click on the top one it says, Name of Applicant: MR Susan Whelan
Bayfox Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 as mentioned you must start what is deemed as a considerable part of the works before the 3 years is up. meaning the egg chasers must plan to at least dig new footings in for any new stands pretty soon if they don't want the expense of going through it again.

Jace Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 There was no planning permission made for expansion of the East Stand when the stadium was built I wish people would get past this rumour! It was public knowledge that the steel structure can be easily modified to allow extra tiers to be built that is all.
