surrifox Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 timing is all- if their mad owner had just let villas boas stay until the end of the season.................
iamafox Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 By beating a Premier League side in Norwich in the last round, we definitely deserved to draw another club in the same league as them, which is why I'm glad that Chelsea beat Brum this week. Being the only team that isn't in the top flight left in the cup is something that we should thrive on.

Basingstoke Fox Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 Torres...have a good game? lol (to be honest though, it wouldn't surprise me if he went and scored against us ) Two years ago Torres was one of the best strikers in the world. I don't think Chelsea is right for him but he is still a world class player who on his day, could have a field day against us. That Shevchencko goal was gut wrenching but what a finish. I was directly behind and couldn't believe the swerve he got on the ball! That said if that 94th minute Maybury shot hadnt been blocked, I'm certain it would've been in... That's it, we need revenge!!
Guest ttfn Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 I don't understand why being the worst team left in the tournament is anything to be proud of.

lcfcbaby Posted 10 March 2012 Author Posted 10 March 2012 I don't understand why being the worst team left in the tournament is anything to be proud of. We're the underdogs - less pressure on us. Also we perform better when we're the underdogs. As well as this, just the idea of being the only team outside the Premier League is great!
Guest Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 Wouldn't it be nice to be in the quarter finals and be the highest ranked team left in the F.A.Cup?
lcfcbaby Posted 10 March 2012 Author Posted 10 March 2012 Wouldn't it be nice to be in the quarter finals and be the highest ranked team left in the F.A.Cup? In other words, wouldn't it be nice to be Spurs. Not really, they'll be expected to go on and win now, they'll have so much pressure. Whilst we all hope for a Leicester win next Sunday we won't expect it! I like being the underdogs!
Guest Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 So you're saying it's better to expect to lose and have a small chance of winning than be expected to win and have a good chance of winning. You're supporting the right team

You're supporting the right team Haha what I'm saying is after supporting Leicester for so long it's become nature to expect to lose in games you should win! This is Leicester we are talking about!
Guy Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 By beating a Premier League side in Norwich in the last round, we definitely deserved to draw another club in the same league as them, which is why I'm glad that Chelsea beat Brum this week. Being the only team that isn't in the top flight left in the cup is something that we should thrive on. Last time we reached the FA Cup semis was 30 years ago in 1982 when we lost 2-0 to Spurs....Ian Wilson own goal and I'm sure one of the Argies scored (typically that year with the Falklands War going on of course!). That was when we were also the lowest ranked team to remain in the competition as a then second division team (translating to much the same as we are now!). I know second division QPR were also in the other semi (when they beat WBA) but I think we were slightly below them in the league at the time. Sadly we flattered to deceive against Spurs on the day 30 years ago so Spurs v QPR it was at Wembley. Still, let's hope Pearson can emulate Jock Wallace's record - or even better, go one better. It's a long shot but you just never know, given our record against teams abouve us in stature and league postion this season.
