shack Posted 5 July 2005 Posted 5 July 2005 What do you think you have achieved in the sporting world that no other on this forum has? I once saved two penalties in a cup final. I've scored from a goal kick. I've hit a home run. I can throw a baseball at over 80 miles an hour. I've had an Eagle in a competition. to name one or two. Anyone else?
Random Burglar Posted 5 July 2005 Posted 5 July 2005 I can hit a tennis serve at over 110mph.... I have never scored a goal at 11-a-side football when playing for a team...rather than mates (im a defender)

Beat five national champions at squash. Lucky enough to play two World champions at squash (Jonah Barrington, who was playing for Cornwall and Qamar Zaman in a promotional exhibition match at Wembley). Unbeaten throughout career (with wife) in Northants County Doubles Championships and National husband/wife semi-finalists. Only husband and wife team both to win Northants Singles titles (three times each). Couldn't beat an egg now. Courts seem to be getting bigger and bigger!!!

Ric Flair Posted 5 July 2005 Posted 5 July 2005 Once had an albatross in a golf competition. Once snap hooked a drive and it bounced down a path on a par 5 and must have travelled well over 400 yards. Hit a sand wedge in and made eagle after what was looking like a write off hole. When I was young I pinched Seve Ballesteros ball when it landed near me. Got a right bollocking.

She stood on the tee and shanked her shot just as the groundsman with his tractor started moving off with the industrial mower. Her ball landed in the mower blades, was carried 450-odd yards to the edge of the green and was deposited there as the tractor turned for its return down the fairway. She chipped up to within inches of the pin and holed out! .

Rob, should play you some time mate! i hold the record at our college and have done for a while for hitting a tennis ball in the air and having the longest air time being only a bit off the world record

Alexikokopops Posted 5 July 2005 Posted 5 July 2005 I did the 3 Peaks Challenge in 23 hours 28 minutes (driving time included obviously). Yunno, where you climb Ben Nevis (the tallest mountain in Scotland), Scafell Pike (the tallest in England) and Snowdon (the tallest in Wales) one after the other, and aim to do it in under 24 hours. That's about it really.

The minimum you have to spend driving is 10 hours, some people just run up and down them.
