Yeah, I'm going as a football fan and not someone who's an attention seeking nonce trying to get 0.25 seconds of fame on a toss sports network.

You're right of course. Acting like small-time ****** on national television is dead funny - "Oh look at me, I'm wandering out of Fulham Broadway dressed as Scooby Doo. I'm well barmy, I am. OWOAHWOAHWOAH!!!".

Pass. Ta.

It's just a laugh. Where's the humour?

Foxes talk is inhabited with plenty of depressing, humourless ******, you know that.

On the other hand, I don't fancy drawing attention to myself on the tube to Stamford Bridge or around the stadium.

The Bernie costume is being prepared for our Wembley trip though

I thought it would just be a funny thread with a few people saying what they may wear. But I get some boring moaning losers who think that dressing up is stupid and pathetic. It's not hurting anyone, and its just a laugh.

Agreed, im contemplating running the great manchester run in costume in May, 40000 entrants, BBC2 coverage and a big crowd watching on the streets, doesnt make any difference whether your having a laugh at football or doing a run, just a giggle, and my run is for charity. No doubt there will be some dressed up, seen a few down the years ranging from someone at preston dressed up as jobber, to hari krishnas at ipswich, and hundreds of tommy cooper fez's at watford when muzzy played. I think its known as fun.

There's a big difference between a charity run and the quarter final of the cup. It could get embarassing enough without having some of our fans dress up.

Don't you cringe when you see the fancy dressed at Wembley? Even facepaint is bad enough if you're over 10

True, unless there's some mentalist humour mixed in - back in the 90s wearing shell suits and curly black wigs at tranmere for the playoffs was quality

That's slightly different as you say.

Scooby do costumes, morph suits etc are just plain gay
