We're actually better off this season with a game in hand over some teams.

Well be lucky to sneak in with 75 points. I reckon we'll need 76, which is 21 points from 8 - seven wins, one loss. Highly unlikely.

With the way the season has turned out for most teams around us, I doubt we'll need 75. More like 70, 71.

This season is just so close in all aspects.

To be honest, if you look at where we were this time 2009-2010 season (the playoff under Nige year) we were 6 points better off and sitting pretty in 4th. THIS is where you need to be right now to finish 6th/5th or whatever.

Even if you take heart from Blackpool who had 54 at that point and still made the playoffs, you will notice they were in 7th and the top half was less competitive that season. They got into 6th place with 70 points, never going to be enough this year. Not trying to crush dreams here, just looking at the facts.

My comment about having a sh*t manager was purely to push buttons as I know it still winds some of you up, sorry. You don't get Sven's reputation for nothing, but IMO at this level Pearson is the better manager and is far better for this club.
