Collymore Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 Australian international John Aloisi is today linked with a move to Leicester City. He was, according to Sydney Morning Harold, signing a three year deal with Panathinaikos, but the deal fell through because a medical test that showed a problem with his knee. link Please don't be true, he was good about 8 years ago but give me blake back over him ps sorry if this is been posted somewhere already, i'm losing track of my life.
Gené and Tonic Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 Why not? He looked great at the Confederations Cup cup. And if Panathinaikos wanted him, surely he would do great for us? I doubt we'd be able to get him though.
Collymore Posted 7 July 2005 Author Posted 7 July 2005 NOOOOOOOOOO look.... if any striker is available he's not doing a lot right, prob fell through cause Panathanikos saw the light just in time
Hazza Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 He wanted £30,000 a week to go back to Pompey, so i really doubt we could get him. Looked good in the confederations cup and i saw him score in the Spanish Cup final before that, so i'd take him, but slim to no chance i reckon.
davieG Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 linkPlease don't be true, ps sorry if this is been reported 134083 Noooooooooooooooooooooo, Kenny never mentioned him and with a dodgy knee,Colly are you really SirNobFoot?

City Fan Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 There is not a chance in hell we would be able to afford him, and no chance of him wanting to play for a team in the league we are in. Pompey are after him and are far more likely to be able to get him than we will.
davieG Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 Is this the same bloke who played for Cov? 134096 I'm asuming Yes.
Matt Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 Is this the same bloke who played for Cov? 134096 If you clicked the link you would have found City linked with Aloisi07.07.2005 - The Cunning Fox Australian international John Aloisi is today linked with a move to Leicester City. He was, according to Sydney Morning Harold, signing a three year deal with Panathinaikos, but the deal fell through because a medical test that showed a problem with his knee. The former Coventry and Portsmouth player is at the moment out looking for a club after leaving Osasuna this summer. He did well in the Confederation Cup and since there are a colony of Australian players at City it could be playing a part.
Hitesh Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 havent seen him play in a long while but im sure that he is one of the better strikers available to us. Realisitically, who else could leicester get for free that would be as good or better than Aloisi?
wessex skyblue Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 Hiya just visiting As for Jonny Aloisi he was class and we would have him back with open arms. He had the best goal per game ratio we had for ages but wasn't in the ginger knob's clique and left for pastures new. Saying that I don't think he'd play for the wages in this league but wish him well wherever he goes. If you don't mind the question what's this Matt Heath like?

Hitesh Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 yeah...Muz and Lone Wolf summed it up! IMO, he isnt that quick and he can make the wrong decisions sometimes. But a decent defender and a "championship" defender. Couldnt hack it in the Premiership unfortunatly.
wessex skyblue Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 Can't see us forking out 200k for anyone at the mo although that's what was reported. 200k though is peanuts at the age he's at and if MA thinks he's worth it then I've payed my money and I'll go with it. ".... but he has a bright future behind him..." Don't like the sound of that statement though

Don't like the sound of that statement though 134152 well lets say, he is abit inexperienced... like he went to header a kick what their (the opoitions) keeper kicked, ducked out of it and it lobbed our keeper .... but thats what i mean... he is a good talent... maybe still abit to 'youthy' to be playing in a critical game... but with abit of experience i think you have another....... decent defender their
Muz Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 He cant run , makes silly decisions and panics quite a bit , specially when he is in posession of the ball and he has someone closing him down. Other than that he is alrite , like Lonewolf said he certainly knows where the onion bag is.
Scow Posted 7 July 2005 Posted 7 July 2005 Aloisi? Ha, no thanks. We need some pace upfront, thanking you.
Soldberg Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 This is nuts guys. Why would Aloisi play in Championship when he could lineup for a handful of sides in the La Liga.
