Zingari Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 I dread going out in my car on a Sunday because the standard of driving is just appalling. The amount of people (usually women and old people) who don't understand how lanes work on roundabouts is frightening. I'm in favour of regular testing (for women and old people), say every ten years. I wouldn't want to pay for it though, so I guess it's not going to happen. yes it's mostly old people and women being in the wrong lane that causes serious accidents . not the the idiotic impatience of other drivers trying to save 2 seconds of their stupid lives
Rincewind Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Sunday is the day drivers who think the roads will be quieter and safer venture out. A nice drive in the country or taking the kids out to keep them quiet when not in school. Or getting out the way when the mother-in-law visits. Another cause of accidents is turning round to the kids in the back and saying, 'Stop asking if we are there yet, we will get there when we get...aaaarrrgh!

The Year Of The Fox Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 I'd have said the roads on Sundays are worst for the amount of Sunday league players heading off to games under the influence of something or other.
Fox92 Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 My car insurance company phoned me up, about two weeks ago now, and asked if I would like cover against accidents which I have caused through being 'under the influence of alcohol', 'under the influence of drugs' or just attempting suicide. I was like, what the ****

Saxondale Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Some pretty sophisticated kit they'll have to be carrying if it's supposed to instantly test for every single illicit drug.
