listen i dont want an apology, I Just wanted him to realise that the term was offensive and not use it again - which he clearly didnt understand as he kept using it and tried to justify his usage even though he said he wouldn't use it again. If he just said he was wrong to use that and left it there then there would have been no further debate. With people like Daggers exacerbating the argument it was always going to end how it did.

Anybody who has met Singh will know that he's a thoroughly decent human being. As a result they will react negatively to your fvck brained attempts to smear him as some sort of knuckle dragging EDL sub species of Neanderthal. The bloke is no racist by any stretch of the imagination and is one of the most decent blokes I've met through this forum. Even if he does have a mind like a sewer.

Why not focus on actual rather than imagined racism? Christ, there are plenty on here I would like to have a chat with about their views and Singh is nowhere near that list. Or would you prefer to resort to playground standard insults about what you think is Daggers' parentage?

Some of the stuff you've come out on this thread would have me telling my 11 year old pupils to grow up and get over themselves, so to see it from somebody who is presumably considerably older than that is nothing short of laughable.

Just grow up please, I've just wasted 15 minutes of my life reading the updates from this thread since it got relaunched and the vast majority of it is you moaning about nothing.

And Daggers can wind me up sometimes but to call him "uneducated" is ridiculous, he's one of the most well travelled and intelligent posters on the forum.

The issue with Singh's use of the word has been dealt with. He's been criticised for using it and he accepts it could be construed as offensive. What people with whom he is friends are taking issue with is your insistence on dragging the argument on and painting him as a racist. If you honestly think his terminology is that offensive, have a look in the archive for any of the threads on Islam, the EDL or immigration.

They'll blow your mind.

Rightly or wrongly I've taken the decision as both an Administrator and the topic starter to close this thread.

As I see it apart from the name calling that we get in many a thread the issue was that of Dr Singh using an unacceptable word for which he has now apologised, further to this the complaint moved on to him using two ** for which he has also offered an explanation and said he will not use either again.

So we're left with arguing about the overall quality of the arguing which is so far removed from the original topic to say enough is enough.

I believe the majority of posters have now read and if not can still read the topic and make their own minds up about any issues what the forum doesn't need is this eternal bickering.
