They were playing players out of position as they only had two recognised central defenders in their first team squad and one of them was a youngster. If you watched any of the games Pavon and Raul Bravo were all over the place. Not sure about Owen though, he will score goals if he gets his chance, but with Raul, Morientes, Ronaldo etc not sure how many games he will get.

And I have always like Jonny Woodgate I think he is quality, but Newcastle's defence will be terrible now with donkey Bramble playing.

Owen will be subbed all the time and i feel madrid may get rid of morientes or even raul on loan somewhere. Owen will come on most games i reckon and still bag about 5-10ish

Signing Woodgate will allow them to play helguera defensive midfielder as they failed to secure Viera. I think Woodgate is the best defender in England when fit and am sure he will suceed at Real. They have a much stronger looking team this season than before. Ricey, hiow can you say Raul is one of the best players in the world? Have you seen him play for the last two seasons? Real wil never drop him, but they bloody well should do.
