Matt Posted 10 July 2005 Posted 10 July 2005 I know there was a thread with the odds for the season somewhere and I know there was a thread with people saying who would go up, who would be in the playoffs, and who would go down, but is anyone putting there money where the mouth is?! I will probably just put money (Around £5) on Leicester winning the league and winning the playoffs - I am still not quite sure on how confident I am on the season ahead but I might as well put some money on both winning the league or winning the playoffs... -Leicester to win the league - 16/1 - I'm not sure whether to put a fiver or £2 on, On £5 I would get £85 return, on £2 i'd get £35 return. -Leicester - 4/1 - Put £2 on get £5 return Other teams I might have a flutter on are; League Winners Norwich - 6/1 - £2 Stake = £14 winnings Southampton - 5/1 - £2 Stake = £12 winning Promotion Millwall - 20/1 - £1 Stake = £21 return Ipswich - 7/1 - £2 Stake = £9 return Relegation Brighton - 6/4 - £2 Stake = £5 return Hull - 10/1 - £1 Stake = £10 return As I said i'll probably just end up putting money on Leicester even though i'm not sure or confident they will do either but i'll consider the other teams
Little Nicky Posted 10 July 2005 Posted 10 July 2005 I've had a fiver on Leicester to win the league at 20/1 & another fiver on Ipswich to be relegated at 16/1
Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 July 2005 Posted 10 July 2005 Been mulling over putting a decent-sized bet on Wolves to be promoted automatically. Will probably wait until further into the season to see whether they've got the bottle. They've definitely got the players.
Cal Posted 10 July 2005 Posted 10 July 2005 Millwall are way more likely to get Relegated than be promoted.. IMO
C-man Posted 10 July 2005 Posted 10 July 2005 Millwall are way more likely to get Relegated than be promoted.. IMO 135715 Millwall will be mid-table or above.
Matt Posted 11 July 2005 Author Posted 11 July 2005 I've had a fiver on Leicester to win the league at 20/1& another fiver on Ipswich to be relegated at 16/1 135702 Wheres that? The odds I have posted in the original post are from Ladbrokes, I'll probably put my bet on a Betfred because its only down the road from me, If I use Ladbrokes it'll mean I have to go into town So unless I go town on Saturday or until the start of the season looks like Betfred it'll be. I think Ladbrokes have the better odds for Leicester to win the league but Betfred have the better odds for Playoff winning! But thinking about it should I leave the bet for winning the playoffs till the playoffs start? or will the odds be shortened by that time?!?
Hazza Posted 11 July 2005 Posted 11 July 2005 Really unsure on this league but i think i'll have something on Doncaster and Walsall in League One, the odds for them shouldn't be too bad. Might have something on Boston too, now they've got Julian and a few other decent signings, wouldn't be among the favourites either.
Scow Posted 11 July 2005 Posted 11 July 2005 Millwall are way more likely to get Relegated than be promoted.. IMO 135715 Millwall will be mid-table or above. 135767 Who have a manager in charge with no league experience? They've also lost their best player in Ifill.

Graham Stack did well and his loan's ended, Dichio's just gone and of course Wise aswell ( ) I'd say there's a much better chance of them going down than up.

Super Stevie Claridge will have massive problems.
