Ilkeston_Fox Posted 10 July 2012 Posted 10 July 2012 First of all, have any of you been on any of the theme weekends at Butlins (70's, 80's, 90's weekends), and if so, how did you find them? I've been on three 70's weekends, two 80's weekends and a reunion weekend, but never a 90's one. Each time I've been I've thoroughly enjoyed the weekend - plenty of beer, plenty of laughs, no hassle or trouble whatsoever, perfect! So to my point; Six of us have booked in to the upcoming 90's weekend in September, I'm looking for costume ideas, can you help? I'm thinking characters from Rainbow (which I think stretched in to the 90's), TellyTubbies or boybands.... kind of struggling after that. I've even thought about growing my hair back in to curtains with the shaved undercut (any 90's kids will know what I mean) but this might be a little extreme. Thanks in advance.
Rincewind Posted 10 July 2012 Posted 10 July 2012 70's would have been better then you could have dressed up as the Shilites, Village People or Sister Sledge.
pSinatra Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 Something from; Pulp Fiction Toy Story The Matrix Axl Rose/Slash Spice Girls Keith Flint
Leicester_Numan Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 You could dress as a bunch of Jarvis Cockers or the Gallaghers (not ours). Can't really remember what else was big back in the 90s. It wasn't a particularly interesting decade
Zingari Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 Mr Blobby Goths or Edward Scissorhands Vanilla Ice Liz Hurley in the safetypin dress ( if you've the body for it) Grunge M C Hammer John Major Austin Powers
FoxesAreBlue Posted 11 July 2012 Posted 11 July 2012 Went to a 90s weekend in 2010, was bloody brilliant. I dressed up as a Mighty Duck but people went as batwatch, where's wally, buzz light year, Edward scissor hands
