Matt Posted 13 July 2005 Posted 13 July 2005 Mine was working at a Fish place, As in serving people who wanted fish for ponds or fish tanks, I enjoyed it at the start but started to hate it soon enough, I served people who wanted coldwater fish (Ponds, Coldwater fish tanks) and I also served people who wanted Tropical fish (Heated fish tanks) and the tropical fish area was hell i'm not joking it was literally like a sauna smelling of BO and fish, it was horrible, and some of the stupid questions customers asked were unbeliveable I worked 1 day a week (Sunday - 10 till 4) and got paid £20, I occasionally worked Saturday and the odd weekday during the summer those days I got paid £25, I worked there for a year almost 2 possible more i've forgot So what was your first job, what did you do, did you like it, how much did you get paid?!
Guest Posted 13 July 2005 Posted 13 July 2005 Saturday job in the toy dept at Woolies for a whopping £1.75 per hour.
C-man Posted 13 July 2005 Posted 13 July 2005 Well, i was ball boy for Leicester Tigers if that counts Didnt get paid directly, but got to see every game for free
Hitesh Posted 13 July 2005 Posted 13 July 2005 Paper round. Dunno if that counts. But my first proper job was at Argos. Started after i finished my GCSE's and was only meant to be a summer job but they kept me on and im still there. Only work weekends and im on good pay. Plus i get pay and a half on sundays so for working 8 hours over a weekend i get a decent wage. Although the job isnt great the weekenders all have a good laugh. The change of management has been shit tho. the store manager is a di*ck and only seems to employ female managers. lets just say he is a bit of a perv!
