Leicester City expect to welcome new signing Patrick Gerrbrand into the fold tomorrow when they fly to Oslo for the last leg of their Norwegian trip.

The defender is set to go straight into the team against Lillestrom tomorrow when City look to make it two wins from two games following a 5-1 victory over Bodo Glimt last night.

And manager Craig Levein has hinted that he could be able to make another signing before that match.

Levein is still chasing two elusive parts of the jigsaw - another striker and a left-back after the departure of Jordan Stewart - and is confident they will be in place soon.

If he manages to get one or both in time, they could be flown out to join the squad even with City's return scheduled for Sunday.

It was encouraging for Levein to see his early plans come to fruition so well with the win over Norwegian top-flight side Bodo Glimt last night.

Levein said: "We pressed well and as a team we stayed pretty compact.

"So, overall, it was all right and winning 5-1 was an added bonus for us.

"I was very pleased with everybody and I don't think anyone let themselves down, particularly with regard to what we were trying to do.''

Levein added: "Certainly we showed a lot more energy than we had done in the whole of last season.

"It is very early and results don't mean anything.

"However, we want to put the way we want to play into the players' minds and this was the start of it. Overall it served its purpose."

Levein was delighted that David Connolly and Mark de Vries - the strikers who appear to be his first-choice pair for when the serious action gets under way - found the net twice each and that latest prospect James Wesolowski gave a good account of himself.

Danny Tiatto, Stephen Hughes and Dion Dublin, who missed last night's match with slight injuries, will feature in tomorrow's game.

But newcomer Patrick Kisnorbo might be given more time to fully recover from a strained knee.

so a left back and a striker to come, i think it will be Kris Boyd to join next but could just as easily be someone we have not even been linked with yet.

If we do sign a left back i think it will only be for back up, as the back four looks sorted.

Tiatto and Wilcox will be the main Left Midfielders so there won't be many options at Left Back currently.

Well CL did say that he bought Johansson as a CB and he himself said that was his prefered position. Sheehan is an out an out LB. Don't really know how flexible Gerrbrand is but he is mainly a CB i believe and Maybury played at LB last year and looked comfortable enough. I think the squad in general looks pretty flexble with the likes of Sylla and Kisnorbo able to play in a variety of postions. All looks rosy at the moment, although I am sure a few of us thought that when we were in the top three of the premiership when Taylor first took charge!

Maybury was not comfortable at left back.

He was ok as a left back but the whole game opened up more with him on the right
