I'm sure it'll be a piece of piss and mostly be common sense but it'll be nice going into it sort of knowing what to expect. Cheers m'dears.
Rincewind Posted 2 October 2012 Posted 2 October 2012 I guess you just have to ensure the store is running smoothly, everything s clean, nothing blocking alleyways, shelves stacked and the workers are not slacking. Easy peasy. Nothing to worry about at all.

All the Supervisors pretty much did at our place was Customer Service, fetch DVD's, change faulty projects etc. That list sounds like a duty manager/store manager list of things to do.

Doubt anyone would actually know if I asked them though haha. We're a bit desperate for supervisors at the minute so hopefully I get through pretty easily based on that but I don't want to look horrendously under prepared.

If the store is looking great it'll be a breeze, if it ain't then stand by for a bollocking.............not from him mind. he'll bollock your manager and the manager will pass it on to you. I say store but surely you'll only be responsible for your section. Know all the figures for your section. Budgets (sales and wages). if you've under or over spent on wages, surely you'll have overspent . Delivery times and how many eaches you're expecting tonight etc etc As I always tell my team, they are only human and treat them accordingly, that's how they want to be treated. Good luck Oh! and don't forget to rim his cup of coffee

Ozwin Posted 2 October 2012 Author Posted 2 October 2012 Our store is tiny, we don't have sections, we are responsible for the whole shop. I'll be basically doing the late shifts, locking up and cashing tills up etc. Pretty easy stuff really but I'm a bit worried cos I haven't really been told the figures or anything, all this talk of wage overspend and stuff is a bit alien to me. The day we have to have our store walk I'll come in early and make sure shit is hot.
